Let the reader make no mistake: it is pretty words and a smile which is the REAL standard of the world.
NOT the truth.
Man prefers pleasantries and a comely countenance to a true account.
We live in a world where men scoff at the truth while bemoaning “All I hear is lies!”

We live in times in which confusion reigns over whether to confront a lie–when one KNOWS it is a lie–IF told by someone who is “nice.”

We live in a society in which the “truth” is determined by the latest lie which is told.
We live in a culture in which it doesn’t really matter if men lie to one’s face–as long as they smile and say pretty words.
IS the reader soothed by those who speak soothing words–even when such words prove to be false?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
