Let a Little Light Shine In

God on a micro level

“Blessed be the Lord God of Israel; for he hath visited and redeemed his people, To give light to them that sit in darkness and in the shadow of death, to guide our feet into the way of peace.”
–Luke 1:68,79

Every once in a while, one sees or hears an important reminder.

OFTEN, a service is performed by passing that reminder along to the next person.

This is such a service.

In the dark and devious times in which we live, it is important to LET A LITTLE LIGHT SHINE IN ON ONE’S LIFE.

Every day.

Why?

Because in the times in which we live, folks are exposed to MUCH darkness and precious little light.

Why?

“And this is the condemnation, that light is come into the world, and men loved darkness rather than light, because their deeds were evil.”
–John 3:20

And here’s an ADDITIONAL REMINDER: In the deceptive times in which we live, darkness is often disguised as light.

“Take heed therefore that the light which is in thee be not darkness.”
–Luke 11:35

In the deceptive times in which we live, it is VITAL for the reader to examine ALL that he believes to be light, to ensure that it is not really darkness dressed up as light.

Yes, this examination takes a little extra time, but the reader can be assured that those who offer darkness and call it light will pay a heavy price.

“Woe unto them that call evil good, and good evil; that put darkness for light, and light for darkness; that put bitter for sweet, and sweet for bitter! Woe unto them that are wise in their own eyes, and prudent in their own sight!”
–Isaiah 5:20-21

One of the best ways to let a little light into one’s life is to study the Bible daily.

Yes, this is quite a burden for the busy, on-the-go modern.

Do it anyway: one day, you will be glad you did.

(ONE MORE REMINDER: It is VERY important to study the Bible on one’s own, WITHOUT the assistance of those who offer to TELL YOU WHAT THE BIBLE SAYS. In this way, the reader will avoid the deceptions of TV preachers, pulpit wolves, false teachers and other workers of iniquity dressed up to look like ministers of righteousness.)

“For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of Christ. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.”
–2CORINTHIANS 11:13-15

By accessing God’s Word, one can be assured that one is being exposed to light and not darkness.

And that is VERY important in the dark, deceptive times in which we now live.

“And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
John 1:5

DOES the reader make sure that he lets a little light shine in every day?

DOES the reader make sure that the light he believes is light is really light and not some cunning substitute?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
