Though one would likely not know it from talking to modern man, it matters a GREAT deal whether one views God’s Word as the truth OR or just a collection of stories for the weak-minded.
One of the biggest points of contention is the ending of God’s Word.
IF one believes God’s Word is the TRUTH, the WHOLE TRUTH and NOTHING BUT the TRUTH, then the ending is an example of the most poetic of justices.
IF one believes God’s Word, the righteous thrive and the wicked get what’s coming to them (finally).
And God’s Word makes it crystal clear: ALL who placed their total and sincere faith in Jesus Christ emerge as WINNERS.
God’s Word is also clear about the wicked: ALL who were wicked or evil or foolish (whether through sins of commission or omission) will suffer the ultimate judgment at the hand of the Ultimate Judge.
“For the Son of man shall come in the glory of his Father with his angels; and then he shall reward every man according to his works.”
–Matthew 16:27
“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad.”
–2CORINTHIANS 5:10
IF one believes the Bible is little more than one very large morality tale, then one can smile at the gullibility of those who cling to its words while believing that life will continue as it always has–or, at least, as such a person believes life to be.
Tragically, too late will the disbelieving discover:
for them, there are NO happy endings to this ‘morality tale.’
“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.”
–2PETER 3:3-4
One of the primary reasons the authorities of man have scoffed and mocked God’s Word so relentlessly: IF one believes the road map he has been given is false, then one will not believe the destination to which that road map leads.
The ONLY happy endings in the end times are for those who follow Jesus Christ and His Father.
ALL others are destined to end up in the lake of fire.
“And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.”
–Revelation 20:15
Those who end up burning FOREVER are the leaders of iniquity, as well as the lowly workers of iniquity and the foolish. In short, ALL who smiled in disbelief will finally believe–but it will be too late to make a difference.
“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
–Revelation 21:8
Too late will the wicked discover that life does NOT always ‘just go on.’
Too late will the wicked discover that during the end times, there are NO happy endings for the wicked.
DOES the reader believe that each man will be judged according to his actions in this life?
It is not YET too late: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
Make Your Calling and Election Sure: End Times Survival
DOES the reader believe he is NOT saved?
Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation
THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
