One advantage to writing is that, from time-to-time, OCCASIONALLY one wanders off in a completely different direction.
And so, the topic of HOW BAD THE ROADS HAVE BECOME is now addressed.
As someone who regularly travels the highways and byways, the BAD CONDITION of those pathways was noticed earlier today when–for at least a mile–the road was more a series of bad repair jobs than driveable surface.
One expects potholes to make an appearance after the thawing and freezing of winter.
But winter has barely begun and potholes are EVERYWHERE it seems.
It’s something that the road-fixers have to deal with.
But the roads have become little more than an excuse to employ LOTS of people with VERY LITTLE constructive work to do.
Road workers are seen trimming trees, painting lines and other decorative work while the roads fall apart from very little maintenance.
ULTIMATELY, the blame for this does NOT belong with the work crews. The blame should be squarely on the DIRECTORS of the work crews. After all, they’re the ones who are telling the workers what to do–or what NOT to do.
The reader may have noticed this steady deterioration of the roadways OR the reader may have noticed and thought, “Gee, guess they just are busy elsewhere.”
IS the reader one who makes excuses for the shortcomings of others?
Lest the reader believe this piece is the work of a fevered mind, it is NOT.
Again, has the reader noticed the deterioration of the roadways?
Enough about the CONDITION of the roads, there hasn’t been much said about the reasons for letting them deteriorate.
CAN the reader guess what some of those reasons might be?
HAS the reader noticed any of the BAD ROADS?
It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
