END TIMES FRIENDLY REMINDER
Although YEARS have been spent blurring the differences between various systems of beliefs concerning spirituality (RELIGION) and CHRISTIANITY, there is ONE important difference between the two.
Among the MANY different meanings for RELIGION, several stood out.
1 a personal set or institutionalized system of religious attitudes, beliefs, and practices
2 a cause, principle, or system of beliefs held to with ardor and faith
3 the service and worship of God or the supernatural
Never mind that many religions cobble together a list of traditions and customs for their followers to adhere to.
The MAIN difference between RELIGION and CHRISTIANITY has to do with one’s outlook on life and everything else that matters.
The main difference?
RELIGION tells its followers that they can be BETTER PEOPLE by following the tenets of that particular religion.
So, in effect, religions teach their followers that man is PERFECTIBLE.
CHRISTIANITY teaches its followers pretty much the OPPOSITE view.
Man is a fallen, lost creature who would be forever consigned to hellfire IF God did not shower His mercy upon him. Man, due to his POOR choices (as well as the POOR choices of his anscestors) is a creature bound by his sin.
Someone once said that man was created WITHOUT flaws because God looked at His creation and pronounced it “Good.”
“And God saw every thing that he had made, and, behold, it was very good. And the evening and the morning were the sixth day.”
–Genesis 1:31
BUT God’s creation contains MANY things which were CREATED to be good and which have been misused.
Like tobacco.
Like marijuana.
Like man.
God’s Word tells us of this MANY times. A few samples will suffice to prove this point.
“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
–Romans 3:10-12
“They are corrupt, they have done abominable works, there is none that doeth good. The LORD looked down from heaven upon the children of men, to see if there were any that did understand, and seek God. They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
–Psalm 14:1-3
The first three lines in Psalm 14 and Romans 3:10-12 demonstrate the outlook of the Christian.
It is MUCH different than the outlook of various other forms of worship.

HAS the reader EVER thought much about the various RELIGIONS and CHRISTIANITY?
It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?

For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
