“It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.”
–Psalm 118:8
In the times in which we now live, a great many have forsaken God Almighty and placed their faith and trust in man, the schemes of man and/or the world in general.
This is puzzling for a couple of reasons.
ONE, why would ANYONE put their faith in those who LIE to him?
Modern man KNOWS that the media lies to him.
Modern man KNOWS that the government lies to him.
Modern man KNOWS that science and medicine lie to him.
YET, when modern man wants to learn something, who does he turn to for his information?
The media, the government, science and medicine.
Puzzling.
TWO, does the reader know of ANYONE who can be trusted in every circumstance?
Even if one does not believe God’s Word, one cannot help but notice that even the most trustworthy of men cannot be trusted in every situation.
Why would ANYONE trust those who cannot be trusted?
Yet modern man continues to place his faith and trust for the future in fallible man.
Once again, this is puzzling.
“Thus saith the LORD; Cursed be the man that trusteth in man, and maketh flesh his arm, and whose heart departeth from the LORD.”
–Jeremiah 17:5
HAS the reader made his plans based on his trusting his future to the government, the media, science or medicine?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
