While standing in line at a store recently, waiting to be checked out, a female of the perpetual teen persuasion was observed wearing a provocative tee shirt with the following enblazoned on it
FRIES BEFORE GUYS!
This was printed underneath a picture of some pink-and-yellow, candy-colored french fries.
As the shirt was thought-provoking, a few thoughts were provoked.
1- There are more and more public displays of statements which focus on one sex dismissing the other. Females displaying their disdain for males; males displaying their distaste for females: such behavior is NOT gender-specific. From where was this attitude learned?
2- “Fries before guys” is a good way to teach the youngsters about fighting the patriarchy.
3- Most females who declare their intentions of favoring fries before guys most likely did not have much of a choice in that matter anyway.
HAS the reader come across such slogans?
DOES the reader smile OR does the reader think about what the words are REALLY trying to say?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
