There are a LOT of Unbelievers Who Pray to God

unanswered prayers

“Now we know that God heareth not sinners: but if any man be a worshipper of God, and doeth his will, him he heareth.”
–John 9:31

Right about now, a NUMBER of church folk are asking, “But I LOVE Jesus!  God should hear my prayer then, right?”

And sadly,  the answer is “Probably not.”

Just because someone CLAIMS to ‘love Jesus’ does NOT mean that is the TRUTH of the matter.

What about all of the people–particularly the church folk–who are crying “LORD, LORD!”?  How many of them have said that they ‘love Jesus’?

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
–Matthew 7:21-23

LORD, LORD: Who is Crying Lord, Lord?

Simply put, God hears the prayers of the spiritually reborn (‘Born Again‘) BECAUSE God’s Holy Spirit resides in such humans. God hears those who have the Holy Spirit because His Word says so. God’s Word also CLEARLY states that He hears those who pray with His will.

“And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will, he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.”

However, praying with the will of God is a hard, hard task for humans–who are selfish and who let selfish motivations affect their prayers.

BUT, those with the Holy Spirit get some help.

“Likewise the Spirit also helpeth our infirmities: for we know not what we should pray for as we ought: but the Spirit itself maketh intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered. And he that searcheth the hearts knoweth what is the mind of the Spirit, because he maketh intercession for the saints according to the will of God. “
–Romans 8:26-27

Someone WITHOUT the Holy Spirit is SEVERELY HANDICAPPED in praying with God’s Will.

MOST of the unbelievers who pray to God do so because they feel they are NOT unbelievers.  Many others feel that because they are good church-going folk, they are believers.

Some unbelievers pray to God because they do NOT have any other places to turn to.

There are those who point to various religious icons championed by their churches.

The Rosary is one example.

The Bible has NOTHING to support the practices of the Rosary.  The Bible has ONE verse which conflicts with the practices of the Rosary.

“But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.”
–Matthew 6:7-8

SO, a LOT of people will be praying during the last days.

Unfortunately, very few of them will have their prayers HEARD by God.

DOES the reader ever wonder if God hears his prayer?

It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
