Why Doesn’t God Get Rid of Sin?

GOD and SIN

Although it has been several months since the question was first heard, it has stuck in one’s mind.

“Why doesn’t God just get rid of sin?”

“Get rid of sin?”

“Yeah, sure.  God can do anything, right?  Then, why doesn’t He just get rid of sin and save everyone a lot of hassle? Do you think He ENJOYS all of those people going to hell?  Just get rid of sin!”

The person who asked these questions was one of the CHURCH FOLK.  Otherwise, how would he know about hell, sin and God?

There wasn’t a real good answer given that day; something on the order of “I’ll have to think about that.”

After thinking about it a much better answer would be that the question is from a MAN’S point of view, NOT God’s. ALL are some VERY selfish questions.

God had VERY specific reasons for setting up His creation the way He did.

According to God’s Word, God wants to find people who will worship Him as God FREELY.

That was the whole reason behind God’s creation.

IF there was no sinful pleasures, then man would much easier resist Satan than is currently possible.

“Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.”
–James 4:7

God has the POWER to do ANYTHING, including getting ‘rid of sin.’

HOWEVER, getting ‘rid of sin’ only furthers the ends of sinful man, NOT God.

And THAT is the best answer we could come up with.

HAS the reader ever wondered why God didn’t make this life easier to live?

It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
