American Church Becoming 666-Friendly

DECEPTION IN THE CHURCH in an AGE OF APOSTASY

“And he causeth all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and bond, to receive a mark in their right hand, or in their foreheads:

And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

Here is wisdom. Let him that hath understanding count the number of the beast: for it is the number of a man; and his number is Six hundred threescore and six.”
Revelation 13:16-18

All of the blatant twisting of God’s Word that is occurring in the American church has been elevated to a new level: scripture destruction.  One of the latest examples is the position that one can take the mark of the beast and be saved.

This teaching is in DIRECT opposition to the Word of God.

From End Times Prophecy Headlines: December 2, 2013:

(AUDIO) John MacArthur: Take the Mark of the Beast and Still be Saved – This is what happens when teachings are distorted until few can remember what the Bible originally says.  Error begets error begets error begets error.  Eventually, one ends up with a teaching such as the one here.  But to get to this teaching, layer upon layer of false teachings had to be built on a foundation of twisted scripture.

(AUDIO) John MacArthur Conflict: Mark = wrath of God; Mark = redeemed – double-minded?  But John MacArthur is not the only one teaching this.  But MacArthur is probably the most prominent teacher.

False Teachers, Take the Mark of the Beast, Be Redeemed: Chris Pinto, Mark Desario, Jimmy DeYoung, John MacArthur

It’s going to get worse–much worse.  MacArthur is not the first to say this.  The Left Behind series also had an instance of someone “being forced” into taking the mark–and later being saved.  There are so many fairy tales masquerading as Christianity.  Many are on display in this short five minute audio clip.

“And the third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, If any man worship the beast and his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand, The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the presence of the Lamb: And the smoke of their torment ascendeth up for ever and ever: and they have no rest day nor night, who worship the beast and his image, and whosoever receiveth the mark of his name.”
Revelation 14:9-11

Seems pretty clear, huh?  Unless you’re a 2013 American Christian, who is used to inventing “escape clauses” for every inconvenient Bible verse.  No vagueness, no waffling, no guessing: take the mark and drink of the wrath of God–forever.  Maybe John MacArthur will show up in defense of all who take the mark when God judges them?  Wonder who will win that debate?

“And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.”
2 Timothy 4:4

In the future, Christians will be buffeted by even more deception and false doctrine than they are now.  What’s the answer?

The Bible says one must have a “love of the truth“–not a “love of the convenient” or a “love of comfort” or a “love of what popular teachers teach.”  Our God is a loving One.  His Word will light your way.  Ask for wisdom; He is not stingy.

NOTE: His Word promises us wisdom (James 1:5), not popularity; not cutting edge coolness.

“For in much wisdom is much grief: and he that increaseth knowledge increaseth sorrow.”
Ecclesiastes 1:18

From the End Times Prophecy Headlines: December 4, 2013:

When God abandons a Nation by John MacArthur – When that happens [God Abandoning a nation], some in the pulpit will preach that one can take the mark of the beast and still be saved–like MacArthur and others are doing.  Of course one of the biggest boosts to this doctrine was the Left Behind series, where one of the characters denies Jesus, “is forced” to take the mark and yet does “undercover work for God.”

Yeah, that’s what people will tell themselves: “I’ll do some secret work for God!  He’ll understand!  I’ll repent!  No, wait, I don’t have anything to repent of! He’s a loving God, right?”

In the Left Behind books, “forced” to take the mark means “forced to take the mark to stay alive”–as the Bible says many, many, many people alive at the time will do.  The Bible is very clear about this–though men are so used to twisting scripture to fit their needs, it will not be so clear to many.

Look up the word APOSTASY.  Where do you suppose we got that word?  According to Merriam-Webster, it’s from the

“Middle English apostasie, from Late Latin apostasia, from Greek, literally, revolt, from aphistasthai to revolt.”

And while revolt is being preached in the American media and in many American pulpits, it’s not only a revolt against civil authorities.

It’s a revolt against God.

“And the LORD said unto Samuel, Hearken unto the voice of the people in all that they say unto thee: for they have not rejected thee, but they have rejected me, that I should not reign over them.”
1 Samuel 8:7

The work of justifying revolt and rebellion is going on right now at thousands of places, both large and small. Many of the ones undermining scripture think they do God’s work.

“The ends justifies the means.”

Sad.  My prayer is that God opens their eyes–of at least one or two–before it is too late.

  1. I remember the passage from the Left Behind series well. I read the whole collection. The young man in question, if I remember correctly was held down physically against his will and had the mark forced upon him. However I dont remember him denying Jesus. I read them years ago. I totally believe the scriptures and that if anyone receives themark, they will be damned eternally. However, if a person loved Jesus and, hypothetically , was tied down kicking and screaming, and had the mark forced on them against their will, I cannot imagine the Lord holding that person accountable for an action they had no control over! Anybody else have any ideas on this?

    1. Thanks for your comment, Alana.

Just a thought: The man in question was working for the antichrist. He had plenty of chances to testify for Jesus, but instead lied to save his life. He WAS escorted to take the mark but think about it: if it was against his will, they would have killed him like all of the others. Fear of being killed was the reason Chang didn’t testify of Jesus in the first place.

This is an example of a so-called “moral dilemma.” In a moral dilemma, the one setting up the scenario tries to come up with a situation where the person holding a strong belief–like “do not take the mark of the beast”–will compromise what they believe because of “other considerations.”

There will be many who will convince themselves that they are in a “moral dilemma:” that their situation is special and that God will understand their special circumstance and that it will be okay to compromise. God’s word is very clear about taking the mark.

      The word “martyr” means “witness.”

People will tell themselves, “God surely doesn’t want me to die?!?”

No, God wants them to live! But He is more concerned about eternal life (that’s why He sent His son, Jesus Christ, to die for us)–not what happens to this husk that our souls inhabit in this temporal world.

Thanks again for taking the time and leaving such a good comment.

  2. Those who say that one can take the mark of the beast and then later be redeemed completely gloss over this passage:

And I saw thrones, and they sat upon them, and judgment was given unto them: and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus, and for the word of God, and which had not worshiped the beast, neither his image, neither had received his mark upon their foreheads, or in their hands; and they lived and reigned with Christ a thousand years. But the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished. This is the first resurrection. Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. Revelation 20:4-6

So apparently one can refuse to take the mark of the beast. John MacArthur is serving the devil and not the Lord Jesus Christ. He preaches a false gospel and receives and promotes other false teachers so it isn’t any wonder that he has taught this heresy leading others astray. May God open the eyes of His children to the devilish devices of those who serve the flesh and do not serve our Father and our Savior the Lord Jesus Christ.

  3. Thanks for Revelation 20:6!

I knew there was another “Do Not Take the Mark” passage and I always forget to include it! In fact, I usually have to search for Revelation 14:9-11 and am so happy I found it, I forget all about Revelation 20:6 (which actually is the more familiar one–at least to me).

Yes, Agree 100% about MacArthur–and all of the other teachers which are exalted in our day.

I believe that when it is all said and done with, we will find out that those supposedly publicly speaking for Jesus in America at the top have been 100% infiltrated.

I’ll go check out “Loyal Leadership.”

    Thanks for the great verse.

  4. John Macarthur is one of the biggest false prophets in the American apostate church. It’s tragic that so many churches and dominations in America still honor him as a “man of God”. John Macarthur is also a big proponent of the counterfeit gospel of Lordship Salvation, which has already deceived many apostate church. Hope that you can make more exposition about this wolf.
