DECEPTION: DECEIVING AND DECEIVED
The first of a series of observations, both random and sundry, sparked by conversations held over the past 10 days with former co-workers, neighbors, readers and others encountered along the way. Many involved in the conversations were deceivers of one sort or another; something this writer would have not been aware of only a few years ago.
The first of these observations concerns deception, the workers of iniquity and the nature of delusion and deception; as well as deceptions suffered by both the deceivers and those deceived.
DECEIVERS ARE DECEIVED
There has been the temptation on the part of this writer to divide the deceived into two groups: the deceived (the gullible and misled) and the deceivers (those who purposely lead people astray). But is this Biblical? Both the deceived and the deceivers end up in the same place.
“they be blind leaders of the blind. And if the blind lead the blind, both shall fall into the ditch.”
—Matthew 15:14
God holds all men responsible for what they know. It is up to each man to NOT be deceived. Jesus Himself warned of end times deception and yet men are still deceived.
“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.“
Matthew 24:4 is a commandment, not a suggestion. It fits in with other commandments concerning the end times: Watch, be sober, take heed: all very important–but all for the most part completely ignored.
One reason deception has become widespread: most men place a higher value on things other than the truth. Many would avoid deception IF it were convenient or IF it didn’t interfere with their lifestyle.
Back to dividing the deceived into two groups. The Bible declares that those doing the deceiving are deceived themselves.
“But evil men and impostors shall wax worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.“
—2 Timothy 3:13
And so they are. All who work for Satan labor for the father of lies.
“He [Satan] was a murderer from the beginning, and abode not in the truth, because there is no truth in him. When he speaketh a lie, he speaketh of his own: for he is a liar, and the father of it.”
—John 8:44
One more thing the workers of iniquity surely have noticed is Satan’s tendency to sacrifice his minions whenever it suits his purpose. Because the workers of iniquity have wrongly placed all of their faith in this life, losing this life is a huge setback. It’s something they certainly never bargained for.

The list of those who signed up for the devil’s rewards of money, power, fame and fortune in this world ONLY TO HAVE their lives cut short is a long list–and getting longer.
So, it matters not how high up the food chain the worker of iniquity is: he is laboring under deception. Whether one is toiling for the mystery of iniquity, the Vatican, the Corporate Media, politics, sorcery and witchcraft, the Freemasons, entertainment, mass market Christianity, “discernment ministries” or just leading people astray at the local level, one is a slave to deception–whether one knows it or not.; whether one chooses to acknowledge it or not.
In fact, it might be argued that the higher up the chain of command, the more deluded the worker. For the present time, the lost and deceived can still call on the name of the Lord and still be saved.
“For the scripture saith, Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed. For there is no difference between the Jew and the Greek: for the same Lord over all is rich unto all that call upon him. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.”
—Romans 10:11-13
But because we live in the end times, there’s a danger lurking for those who put off or gamble with their salvation. God promises to send a “strong delusion” to all who do not love the truth. All who suffer the delusion will believe the lies with which they have both deceived others and themselves.
NO ONE who is sent the delusion is saved.
No one.
“And with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish; because they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved. And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie: That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.”

Regardless of their many ploys, schemes, conspiracies and devices, the workers of iniquity will all be damned.
“behold, now is the day of salvation.”

Today is the day for changing directions.
Repent–before it’s too late.
