END TIMES PREPARATION:
KNOWING END TIMES DECEPTIONS IS END TIMES PREPARATION
There are many who will tell the reader who is interested in the end times that “All roads lead to Rome.”
As in, “Rome and the popes constitute the pinnacle of end times deception.”
Rome and the antichrist popes certainly do have their parts to play in the end times. But they are not the pinnacle of evil. They are the public face of that evil. Much time, effort and money has been expended to deceive those who are interested in the end times into believing a pope will be the end times man of sin.
In fact, for centuries the pope has been making very public antichrist statements and waving around a huge sign that says “Hey! Look at me! I’m the antichrist!”
Consider: Satan is a very tricky fellow and that’s not really very tricky, is it?
And while the popes have historically been men of sin, one of their number will not be THE man of sin.
But a pope will play a part–and he will be a deceiver.
Rome and the papal system have been deceivers for centuries. They will continue to be a center of deception. Rome, as friendly to the world as any has ever been, is certainly an enemy of God.
“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”
—James 4:4
But again, Rome and their popes serve as a frontman: they are the very public face of an older evil spoken of in the Bible.
All roads may lead to Rome.
But in the end times, many of the roads leading to Rome continue on elsewhere.
