No-Sin Churches: Perfect for the times in which we live.
Churches offer special “no-sin” special services for Christmas – Anointed with oil and blessed without repentance?!?
“Part of it is a recognition that both the culture and even the church, at this time of year, can tend to completely overlook suffering. Everybody is supposed to be cheery and happy and all of that, and yet that isn’t the case for some people.”
Completely overlooked at the services: what the Bible says is the cause of suffering in a lost and dying world: sin.
Is it heartless to point this out?
“There was no sermon, instead it was a mix of scripture with healing words, quiet songs, prayers and the lighting of eight candles, each on behalf of particular struggles: Pain and illness, financial problems, broken families, addiction.”
A different kind of Christmas service offering a different kind of gospel: a gospel devised by men, which can offer nothing but a temporary relief. Sad–and indicative of the times in which we live.
It’s like having a cure for cancer and offering a cancer patient a shot of whiskey instead.
THERE is still time to change direction (repent) and place one’s trust in Almighty God and His Son, Jesus Christ.

THE GOSPEL
