Proclaiming the Gospel of Jesus Christ in the End Times

Preach the gospel!

One of–IF NOT THE–most important tasks of believers in the end times (or ANY time) is to preach and proclaim the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The primary reason this activity is so important?

It is important because the gospel of Jesus Christ unleashes the power of God to eternal salvation. Most will never hear the gospel of Jesus Christ–thus, most will never have an opportunity to choose or reject to believe the gospel of Jesus Christ for eternal salvation–unless it is preached by a believer.

And believers are extremely scarce.

Why is preaching the gospel of Jesus Christ so important–particularly in the end times?

Because the gospel is the power of God unto salvation.  God’s Word does not designate ANY OTHER activity as so important. The gospel of Jesus Christ is the doorway all must enter in order to enjoy eternal salvation.

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16

God has declared the gospel of Jesus Christ to be so important, that He promises to give the gospel of Jesus Christ the power of God Himself.

“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”

God has declared the gospel of Jesus Christ to be so important, that His Word states it to be salvation itself.  The gospel is so important, God’s Word says in the last days God will send an angel to preach this gospel to the WHOLE WORLD.

“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people”
–Revelation 14:6

This event was foretold several thousands of years ago.

“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
–Matthew 24:14

Preaching the gospel was also an explicit command of Jesus Christ Himself.

“And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.”
–Mark 16:15

The reader can know that the power of God resides in the gospel of Jesus Christ by the churches’ refusal to preach it.

Oh, they think themselves to be clever: they chatter about the gospel; they talk around the gospel; they offer other gospels which SOUND GOOD (ABCs of salvation, Roman roads, John 3:16, end times discipleship, Romans 10:9-10, etc.); they preach about preaching the gospel.

But they do NOT preach the simple gospel of Jesus Christ.

Proof of this lies in church folk themselves, the vast majority of which cannot recite the gospel of Jesus Christ.

The churches could not have done a better job of raising up a gospel-ignorant people if Satan himself ran those Sunday social clubs.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8

Preach the gospel of Jesus Christ: it is vital for the believer to do this in the end times.

Because it is a command from Jesus Christ.

Because it unleashes the power of God unto salvation for the lost.

Because Satan works overtime to prevent this from happening.

DOES the reader believe the gospel of Jesus Christ is only a collection of words?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

DOES the reader believe he is saved?
