“But when ye shall hear of wars and commotions, be not terrified: for these things must first come to pass; but the end is not by and by.”
–Luke 21:9
Modern man believes he lives in a world which is largely well-structured and orderly.
Modern man believes this structure and order comes from man having control over so much of modern life, whether it is the cars he drives, the food he eats or the gizmos and gadgets he daily manipulates.
This includes the remedies in which modern man has put his trust when things do not go as planned.
IF Appliance A breaks, call this repair person.
IF Appliance B breaks, call that repair person.
IF the car malfunctions, see the mechanic.
IF an event is canceled, follow this set of instructions.
IF someone is sick, call a doctor or take some “medicine.”
IF the computer or smartphone stop working, take it to this location.
And so on…
ALL of these carefully thought-out contingency plans are instituted to give modern man his “peace of mind“: that modern man has everything under control.
BUT, what happens to all of those plans AND to modern man’s carefully-orchestrated “peace of mind” in times of chaos?
In times of chaos, people who normally fix problems are many times unavailable OR cannot be contacted OR cannot obtain the parts necessary in order to correct a specific malfunction.
In times of chaos, locations which handled problems close down OR are not open to the public OR refuse to fix what they promised–in better and more orderly times–to fix.
In times of chaos, modern man finds out just how “foolproof” his devices AND plans AND contingencies are.
In times of chaos, even the survivalists and preppers discover “the best laid plans of mice and men…“–concocted during times of plenty and little stress–are often not worth the paper on which such lists and plans are so carefully written.
These problems are associated with the “normal” chaos of life: floods, earthquakes, bad storms, war, riots.
There is a time of recovery, rebuilding and life goes on–and, if one lives in America, not only does life go on, it gets better and better.
IN THE END TIMES, the chaos is much different than any previously experienced.
IN THE END TIMES, chaos is the rule.
IN THE END TIMES, chaos is, at first, mostly orchestrated by man in order to bring about certain changes. Therefore, AT FIRST, the chaos eventually subsides and a new order rises to deal with any inconveniences caused by that necessary chaos.
But when it come to creating true and utter chaos, man is FAR BEHIND the God-Who-Controls-Everything.
IN THE END TIMES–particularly in the very last days of the end times–the chaos caused by God’s judgment on the earth and those who dwell upon the earth, once it begins will only end with the return of Jesus Christ. This chaos will NOT subside until then; in the meantime, man will discover how ineffectual and small his plans for control really are.
IN THE END TIMES, the chaos caused by God’s judgment will fall like hammer blows, with NO time for recovery. There will be no time to catch one’s breath. There will be no time for a rest. There will only be the relentless experiencing of God’s judgment and, for most, the realization that they should have paid more attention to “all of that Bible stuff.”
Most of the account of what happens during this judgment of God wrath may be found in Revelation 16.
IN THE END TIMES, all of those who put their faith in God will see that faith rewarded.
IN THE END TIMES, all of those who put their faith in man and the schemes of man?
Well, the best laid plans of mice and men…
DOES the reader feel that man pretty much has everything under control?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
