ALL men have fear–particularly the unsaved.
These men may fear different things–but they ALL possess a fear of SOMETHING.
Let’s call each man’s different fears–and where they place on a grand chart of fears–a HIERARCHY OF FEARS.
Some men fear physical harm.
Others can image withstanding physical punishment, but fear being embarrassed in public.
And still others are most fearful of having to speak in front of a crowd.
“Studies have shown that public speaking is the thing that people fear the most. The second most-common fear is death. This means that most people would rather be the one in the casket rather than the one giving the eulogy.”

ALL men have a fear of SOMETHING.
And so it is that fear will be used as both a judgment AND a torment in the last days.
Each man will fear that which is at the top of his Hierarchy of Fear.
What each man fears MOST will be the torment and affliction that each man receives.
God’s Word is very clear that God Himself will choose the fear that each man receives.
The wicked–and foolish and evil–will be afflicted by their GREATEST fears.
“Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.”
–Isaiah 66:3-4
“The fear of the wicked, it shall come upon him: but the desire of the righteous shall be granted.”
–Proverbs 10:24
DOES the reader have his own personal source of fear?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
