The Spirit of Christmas is the Spirit of Deception

Santa Claus

“He was chubby and plump, a right jolly old elf,”
A Visit from St. Nicholas

Elf.

For centuries, the elf was identified as a demon/pagan god–though moderns have had this knowledge thoroughly concealed from them.

In Old Norse mythological texts, elves seem at least at times to be counted among the pagan gods; in medieval German texts they seem more consistently monstrous and harmful.

Who hasn’t been indoctrinated into the modern fables of Christmas? The story of “Santa Claus” supposedly is one that began with “Saint Nicholas.”

Saint Nicholas is the patron saint of sailors, merchants, archers, repentant thieves, children, pawnbrokers and students in various cities and countries around Europe. He was also a patron of the Varangian Guard of the Byzantine emperors, who protected his relics in Bari.

Honoring or protecting Nicholas’ “relics” is the equivalent of believing in magic (demonic power).

It’s a touch of witchcraft imported into the churches by the synagogue of Satan and mystery of iniquity.

MORE

This time of year, one hears quite a lot of nonsense about the “spirit of Christmas.” We hear those who ask “Where’s your Christmas spirit?

Apparently, this spirit likes egg nog, pine trees, mistletoe, Yule logs, candles, buying, giving and receiving gifts and ceremonies.

There most certainly IS a spirit of Christmas: it is a spirit of deception.

Americans revere (worship, hold sacred) many things which are dark and dreary, but which have been taught are light and cheery and innocent.

Some of those dark and dreary things they hold dear pertain to the customs, practices and rituals of that Season of Greed we call Christmas.

“And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you.”
–Matthew 24:4

DOES the reader dismiss any contrary talk about Christmas as “wet blanket” talk?

DOES the reader ever thought about many of the holiday practices which the world calls “beloved“?

HAS the reader ever wondered why so many Christmas “traditions” are pagan in nature?

HAS the reader ever wondered why so many of these “traditions” are not found in the Bible?

DOES the reader just not care, preferring to let nothing stand in the way of a good Christmas celebration?

THERE is still time to change direction (repent) and place one’s trust in Almighty God and His Son, Jesus Christ.

THE GOSPEL

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost:”
2 Corinthians 4:3
