Recognizing Deception is An End Times Problem

Recognizing Deception

“He that worketh deceit shall not dwell within my house: he that telleth lies shall not tarry in my sight.”
–Psalm 101:7

Deception MIGHT be a problem for so many moderns because so many moderns find it difficult to recognize deception for what it is.

IF one is taught lies and falsehoods from an early age AS IF those canards were the TRUTH, one may very well have a problem distinguishing between what is FALSE and what is TRUE.

IF one is taught that the Word of God is ‘just a bunch of stories,’ then one might have a problem seeing the Word of God as the ONLY truth there is.

IF one is constantly exposed to lies and told that these lies are the truth, then one will believe those lies–absent the merciful intervention of God Himself.

“But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death.”
–Revelation 21:8

MOST men depend on those in authority to provide them with information.

MOST men will defend the source of this information because MOST men do not want others to think they are foolish and listen to liars.

It does not matter that the great majority of these men, from time to time, find various defects in the information they are given by those authorities. Such men have a stake in validating the information they receive from those authorities.

One reason DECEPTION is such a problem during the end times is because men find it hard to believe that those in authority would LIE to them so frequently; so convincingly; so outlandishly.

Man WANTS TO BELIEVE he lives in a world governed by the truth.

However, the reality is somewhat different: man lives in a world which is almost COMPLETELY governed by lies.

Regardless, man REALLY does not care–as long as man is COMFORTABLE.

A man’s COMFORT is his real concern.

NOT the truth.

NOT whether he is told the truth or lies.

NOT whether he is able to recognize the falseness of what he is told.

As long as man has an acceptable level of COMFORT, everything else is A-OK.

IF one is given lies and told that those lies are the truth, that person will be deceived.

That person will also have a hard time recognizing the difference between lies and the turth.

AND God’s Word warns that end times man will not only deceive others, end times man–though he may deal in deceit–will be the VICTIM of deceit himself.

“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.”
–2TIMOTHY 3:13

DOES the reader believe he can easily recognize deception?

HAS the reader ever wondered whether this belief itself might be a deception?

It is not YET too late: there is still a little time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
