SEEKING THE LORD

“Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened.”
—Matthew 7:7-8

ALL who seek the Lord will find Him.

All who SINCERELY seek Him.

The Lord will not deny true, unpretentious seekers.

“Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek the LORD: look unto the rock whence ye are hewn, and to the hole of the pit whence ye are digged.”
—Isaiah 51:1

There are those who are sincere and those who are not. Some workers of iniquity will complain that they sought yet did not find. But only the genuine need apply.

The Scripture refers to all who sincerely seek the Lord. Those who are idle on-lookers or who only exhibit a passing curiosity will not be rewarded.

“And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
—Jeremiah 29:13

The time is fast approaching when those who seek the Lord out of a deep desire to know Him will be separated from those who seek Him out of fear or to alleviate their suffering.

“I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me.”
—Proverbs 8:17

Make your choice today.

Don’t put off this eternity-determining search one more day.

After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
