Sacrifice

sacrifice

There are two kinds of religious sacrifices.

The first type of sacrifice is to God Almighty, and mostly is a demonstration of the love, honor and obedience of the person performing the sacrifice.  A common sacrifice is the giving of alms to the poor or the giving of something of value to provide for the upkeep of God’s administrators.

The second kind of sacrifice is to a familiar or evil spirit.  Most usually, the sacrifice is a sort of “payment” for the services of the spirit being sacrificed to.

In the end times, the second type of sacrifice is quite common–perhaps even more common than the first kind.

OF COURSE, the world’s authorities (the dictionary) define “sacrifice” as an ‘offering to a deity.’

AS IF there were more than one God.

SACRIFICE

an act of offering to a deity something precious especially: the killing of a victim on an altar.

Pagans sacrifice to their various deities, but God’s Word informs us that what are called “deities” are really devils (demons/familiar-evil spirits).

“But I say, that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice, they sacrifice to devils, and not to God: and I would not that ye should have fellowship with devils.”
–1CORINTHIANS 10:20

Sacrifice to a devil starts out easy enough.

Saucers of milk, alcohol, cream, chocolate or some other item which is easily obtainable.  In exchange for these small sacrifices (which are really “training” the one performing the sacrifice), the familiar spirit does small favors or tasks–to the complete delight of the one being trained.

But, eventually, the familiar is called upon for more complicated or devious work.

And heavy lifting requires a bigger sacrifice.

The sacrifices are no longer saucers of milk; instead, they consist of the blood (or some other biological fluids) of the one asking for the spirit’s assistance.

Eventually, the sacrifice becomes the blood (or life) of an animal; then, of ANOTHER PERSON.

How many times has one read of occult crimes (particularly in the world of voodoo) where the perpetrator included the fingernails or hair of the victim in his initial sacrifice?

A great many young people offer their own blood as a sacrificial payment.

MORE: Cutting and Self-Harm

One explanation of this–and how it relates to sacrifices made to devils.

“And they came over unto the other side of the sea, into the country of the Gadarenes. And when he was come out of the ship, immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit, Who had his dwelling among the tombs; and no man could bind him, no, not with chains: Because that he had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the chains had been plucked asunder by him, and the fetters broken in pieces: neither could any man tame him.”

“And always, night and day, he was in the mountains, and in the tombs, crying, and cutting himself with stones.”
-–Mark 5:1-5

When reading this Scripture about the demon-possessed man cutting himself, the words of one of the afflicted youth was brought to remembrance.

“I feel bad or depressed or really down.  Cutting makes me feel so much better.”

So, the modern practice of cutting has something to do with

  1. being afflicted with a devil;
  2. feeling bad because of that devil’s affictions; and,
  3. obtaining relief from those afflictions once a sacrifice (of one’s blood) is offered to that devil.

Is it too risqué to suggest that these all might be somehow related to cutting?
Cutting and Self-Harm

(One other option not explored in that original article: the main reason given for the various “cutting” practices [“It makes me feel better.”] COULD BE merely a cover story to hide the sacrifice offered of one’s own blood and the cutting of one’s flesh these sacrifices make necessary.)

One additional note: IF one performs a “sacrifice” to a spirit which involves the slaying of another human, that is called “murder.”

Regardless of what others may claim.

BEWARE of offering sacrifices of ANY type to a spirit which is NOT God Almighty.

The sacrifices get ever larger as a “bigger payment” is needed to cover larger requests.

IF God’s Word is not enough for the unbeliever, then a bit of self-preservation if offered.

BEWARE of offering sacrifices to familiar spirits/demons.

One just never knows where it all will end.

DOES the reader know of anyone who sacrifices to a spirit other than God?

WHAT does the reader think about all of this (if any thought has been previously expended)?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
