The Ways of A Man

winding

“All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.”
–Proverbs 16:2

God’s Word has some significant thoughts on the ways of a man–particularly in Solomon’s Book of Proverbs.

More than one makes the point that man is not as truly wonderful as he thinks himself to be.

“There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
–Proverbs 14:12

“Every way of a man is right in his own eyes: but the LORD pondereth the hearts.”
–Proverbs 21:2

“There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.”
–Proverbs 16:25

It seems that ALL men–no matter how low-down, disgusting or wicked–want to think of themselves as a “good guy” or a “good man.”

“They are all gone aside, they are all together become filthy: there is none that doeth good, no, not one.”
–Psalm 14:3

BUT, it makes no difference: no matter how mean, nasty or evil a man is, he usually remembers that one time he helped an old lady across the street when he was 15-years-old.

Proverbs 21:8 declares that “The way of man is froward and strange.”

The reader has no doubt seen plenty of examples of many a man’s strange way.

Regardless, a man’s way can be influenced by others–to his eventual destruction.

“A violent man enticeth his neighbour, and leadeth him into the way that is not good.”
–Proverbs 16:29

The ways of a man are winding and circuitous.

And those who need instruction are most usually those who dispute the Words which could lead them to a better way.

Guess it all just depends on one’s point of view?

“An unjust man is an abomination to the just: and he that is upright in the way is abomination to the wicked.”
–Proverbs 29:27

HAS the reader ever pondered the “ways of a man“?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
