The world has gotten VERY effective at directing scorn, derision and disbelief at ideas which are AT ODDS with its point-of-view.
No doubt the reader is aware (or has heard or read) a few of these phrases–which are offered AS proof the targeted thought is worthless WITHOUT offering ANY proof–other than the world’s original insult.
Increasingly, they have been offered as a ‘rebuttal’ to the truth of God’s Word. As such, they are the PERFECT satanic device: a lie offered as ‘proof’ to rebut the TRUTH of God’s Word without offering any proof other than the rebuttal which disagrees with what was first said. “Lucky guess!” “That’s a coincidence!” “Even a blind squirrel finds a nut every once in a while!” “Even a broken clock is right twice a day!” “Sounds a lot like a conspiracy theory to me!” And the most recent: “Even a blind squirrel is right twice a day!” These phrases are QUITE similar to schoolyard taunts–which operate on the same principles. Therefore, the NEXT TIME the reader becomes aware of the world attempting to discredit something with which it does not agree, the reader should just substitute, “Aw, your mother!” to get the full effect of this type of the world’s insult. HAS the reader become aware of this type of scorn? WHAT is his reaction to this subterfuge? It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven. DOES the reader believe he is saved? Make Your Calling and Election Sure: End Times Survival DOES the reader believe he is NOT saved? Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation
