An End Times Circumstance Hard To Get Used To

familiar

It is suspected that the one end times circumstance to which men will have the hardest time adjusting is the realization that today is NOT like yesterday.

And tomorrow will NOT be much like today.

Why does man cling so strongly to those things and ways which are familiar to him?

MAYBE because most men find ways and things which are familiar offer a comfort in a time when not much else is familiar–EVEN IF those men are not aware of how much they desire the familiar?

Most people HUNGER for the ordinary routine of everyday life. They may not even be aware that they LOVE their routines so much–until a time of mass chaos strikes.
— The Snare of Familiarity: A Touch of the Ordinary

OF COURSE, drastic change COULD signal something much better will replace that which has vanished.

BUT, end times man most often finds comfort in the FAMILIAR, not the fresh and new.

IN this regard, end times man is like men of other eras: he is stubborn in this preference.

And, God’s Word declares that stubbornness is a form of idolatry (and sin).

“For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry.”
–1SAMUEL 15:23

During the last days, ALL will be able to see the great and drastic changes which are taking place each day.

Some will IGNORE these changes and “try and make the best of things.”

Some will DENY that these changes are even taking place.  These are those who will cling the most fiercely to their old, familiar habits and routines.

Some will EMBRACE the changes and proclaim, “Change is good!”

A FEW will try and discern whether the changes and chaos are the product of God or man.

And the source of the changes will be a guide whether to embrace OR reject those developments.

Regardless of what final action is taken by the reader, the reader will likely be uncomfortable with the differences which are taking place–at least for a while.

Because MOST men very much want tomorrow to be like today.

HAS the reader noticed any changes in his life which has taken place over the past several years or so?

IS the reader totally comfortable with these changes?

It is not YET too late: there is still a little time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
