ALMOST ALL humans look for signs of the FAMILIAR.
It is one way man can assure himself that ‘all is right with his world.’ It is a comfort in times of uncertainty. The FAMILIAR is the usual; the ‘normal;’ the things with which man is familiar.
A Regular Routine in Times of Chaos and Uncertainty: The Comfort of the Familiar
NOW, there is BOTH good and bad about the FAMILIAR. The FAMILIAR can–and often is–used as a snare to lure the unwary to places those causing the chaos want them to go.
BUT, the FAMILIAR also does offer the comfort of the usual.
The FAMILIAR often takes on the trappings of one’s ROUTINE.

Familiarity can also be used by those who want to CONTROL man.
The Snare of Familiarity: A Touch of the Ordinary
So: man often finds a comfort in the FAMILIAR.
Once upon a time–decades ago, when the TELEVISION provided a FAMILIAR form of entertainment–men from all over a continent would be united by their FAMILIARITY with the shows of entertainment.
Those days are LARGELY past, with man’s entertainment menu expanding greatly during the last several decades and what is chosen for entertainment has become fragmented.
HOWEVER, the commercials and logos of corporations, large and small, are usually a source of familiarity to many.
So, in times of uncertainty and confusion and chaos, MANY will assure themselves that ‘this too shall pass’ by referring to that which is FAMILIAR.
Did the man (and his family) designate Mondays as “laundry day?”
Then, those individuals will look to Mondays and doing their laundry chores, as FAMILIAR signs that “Hey! The world might be falling apart today, but let’s do our laundry and maybe tomorrow will be more of a ‘normal day.”
This is all said to state the following:
THERE MIGHT BE JUDGMENT FROM GOD RAINING DOWN ON THE READER’S NEIGHBORHOOD, UPSETTING WHAT IS USUAL AND FAMILIAR. BUT IT’S NOT THE END OF THE WORLD.
“Look, they’re playing the same music that’s always on the radio. Today is not so very different from yesterday!”
There WILL be pockets of the FAMILIAR.
Many–surrounded by very UNFAMILIAR events–will cling to the small comforts provided by ANYTHING which is FAMILIAR.
BUT, THE READER SHOULD KEEP THE FOLLOWING IN MIND:
Just because the reader knows the tune does NOT mean he can dance.
HAS the reader ever bothered to think much on that which is familiar?
WHAT has the reader thought about?
It is not YET too late: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
Make Your Calling and Election Sure: End Times Survival
DOES the reader believe he is NOT saved?
Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation
THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
