“WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME TODAY?”
Consider the poor slave of iniquity: toiling, scratching, ceaselessly working for the (ultimate) man.
“Jesus answered them, “Truly, truly, I say to you, every one who commits sin is a slave to sin. “

And always aware that he is a highly disposable commodity.
The worker of iniquity also has to be aware that his cause is always looking for martyrs–and the best martyr is a dead martyr. Martyrs are very useful to the cause and many people are more valuable to the mystery of iniquity dead than alive.
That’s a point those laboring for Satan should keep in mind.
The creation of martyrs serves many purposes: it puts a face on a faceless fear; it allows a memory of a tragedy to take on a graphic dimension (like a brand name.); it evokes and appeals to emotions instead of facts. Martyrs are quite useful. Which is why Satan creates so many from among the ranks of his followers.

IF the reader is a puppet for the enemy: beware. Working in iniquity does not make one safer.
On the contrary, working for the enemy is more hazardous than being among the profane.
Most workers of iniquity try to stay blissfully unaware of their complete dispose-ability. They are like coffee filters, filthy rags or toilet paper: when the enemy is done with them, they may have another task–or they may be disposed of in any number of ways.
Laboring as a slave of iniquity doesn’t earn one any prizes–other than being one day closer to the inescapable, ultimate judgment.
“to be cast into hell, into the fire that never shall be quenched: Where their worm dieth not, and the fire is not quenched.”

Again, the slave of iniquity toils for the cause. His imaged reward (IF he collects) is paid in the coin of this world: fleeting fame, a few hours of pleasure, temporary riches and earthy power that so quickly vanishes. But as he snatches a few moments of relaxation, he always has one eye looking over his shoulder.
Because he never can forget he is disposable, expendable and easily replaced.

Is your calling and election sure?
Have you worked out your own salvation with fear and trembling?
