END TIMES SORCERY: SANITARY AND APPROVED

“And the rest of the men which were not killed by these plagues yet repented not of the works of their hands, that they should not worship devils, and idols of gold, and silver, and brass, and stone, and of wood: which neither can see, nor hear, nor walk: Neither repented they of their murders, nor of their sorceries, nor of their fornication, nor of their thefts.”
–Revelation 9:20-21

The Bible warns of end times sorcery.

Repeatedly.

And not just ANY sorcery, but a very specific kind of sorcery shall be prevalent in the end times.

In Revelation 9:21, the word translated as “sorcery” is the Greek word φαρμάκων (pharmakōn).  It is another form of the same Greek word which is used in Galatians 5:20 [φαρμακεία (pharmakeia)] and which is there translated as “witchcraft.

“Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
–Galatians 5:19-21

In addition, the Bible also uses this same word [φαρμακεία (pharmakeia)] in Revelation 18:23. There, it is again translated as “sorceries.”

“And a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone, and cast it into the sea, saying, Thus with violence shall that great city Babylon be thrown down, and shall be found no more at all. And the voice of harpers, and musicians, and of pipers, and trumpeters, shall be heard no more at all in thee; and no craftsman, of whatsoever craft he be, shall be found any more in thee; and the sound of a millstone shall be heard no more at all in thee; And the light of a candle shall shine no more at all in thee; and the voice of the bridegroom and of the bride shall be heard no more at all in thee: for thy merchants were the great men of the earth; for by thy sorceries were all nations deceived.”
–Revelation 18:21-23

The “sorceries” of which the Bible warns against in the end times [pharmakōn] have to do with drugs–-and while those in the churches have long taught that “drugs” means those drugs of the recreational variety, that is NOT what the various Greek concordances have to say the word means.

pharmakōn also means “medicationand medication implies one of the many concoctions put together by witches and sorcerers and claimed to be for “healing.”

Another clue to the real meaning of the warnings–if any more were needed–is that pharmakōn is the word used for “pharmacy” and “pharmaceuticals.” So, it appears the Bible was specifically clear in its warning–though moderns have labored LONG and hard to separate pharmaceuticals from its historic roots.

A few other bits of information may prove helpful to the reader.

1- The online resource Etymonline.com says the following about the origins of the word “pharmacy.”

pharmacy (n.)

late 14c., “a medicine,” from Old French farmacie “a purgative” (13c.), from Medieval Latin pharmacia, from Greek pharmakeia “use of drugs, medicines, potions, or spells; poisoning, witchcraft; remedy, cure,” from pharmakeus (fem. pharmakis) “preparer of drugs, poisoner, sorcerer” from pharmakon “drug, poison, philter, charm, spell, enchantment.” Beekes writes that the original meaning cannot be clearly established, and “The word is clearly Pre-Greek.”

Meaning “use or administration of drugs” is attested from c. 1400; that of “place where drugs are prepared and dispensed” is first recorded 1833. The ph- was restored 16c. in French, 17c. in English (see ph).

It is extremely hard to separate pharmaceuticals and pharmacy from witchcraft and sorcery.

2- Until only a few years ago, it used to be routinely taught that the “first pharmacists were sorcerers.” That information has since been largely flushed down the memory hole.

Still, many academic sources are clear as to the origin of pharmaceuticals, pharmacy and pharmacist.

Practitioners of healing of this era (about 2600 B.C.) were priest, pharmacist and physician, all in one.

3- For centuries, a very specific group of people cobbled together potions, lotions and various other concoctions for “healing.” These groups were known–depending upon the locale–as “healers,” “wise women and wise men,” “folk healers,” “cunning folk,” “witches,” “wizards” and/or “sorcerers.”

All had one thing in common: to the public, their concoctions worked due to “magic.” But there is NO magic: there are only demonic power and familiar spirits which grant access to such forbidden supernatural power.

Cunning folk, also known as folk healers, are practitioners of folk medicine, folk magic, and divination within the context of the various traditions of folklore in Christian Europe (from at least the 15th up until at least the early 20th century).

In Scandinavia the klok gumma (“wise woman”) or klok gubbe (“wise man”), and collectively De kloka (“The Wise ones”), as they were known in Swedish, were usually elder members of the community who acted as folk healers and midwives as well as using folk magic such as magic rhymes.

Sorcery in the end times has been cleaned up and festooned with all of the ribbons and bows of government approval.

Instead of cauldrons, practitioners now use sanitary plastic bottles and modern machinery.

Instead of flowing robes, white lab coats are the uniform of the day.

Instead of hearing magic spells being whispered over an offering, now the user hears (or reads) “May cause drowsiness or dizziness.”

Even with the pruning of useful information which has taken place over the past 10-20 years, there is still enough information available so that the careful reader can make the connection between pharmaceuticals, witchcraft and sorcery and the biblical warnings about them in the end times.

Beware end times sorcery.

Beware end times witchcraft.

Beware end times pharmakōn.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
