End Times Reminder

reminder

What is the perfect Bible passage which sums up a man’s healthy relationship with God while on this earth?

Here’s one vote for Job 1:20-21.

“Then Job arose, and rent his mantle, and shaved his head, and fell down upon the ground, and worshipped, And said, Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return thither: the LORD gave, and the LORD hath taken away; blessed be the name of the LORD.”

With all of the scrapping and clawing and pursuing of worldly riches and the things of the world, this reminds all that “Naked came I out of my mother’s womb, and naked shall I return (to be buried in the earth, which is a sort of womb).

The LORD giveth and the LORD taketh away; blessed be the name of the LORD.

Most men who chase after the things of the world forget that they came into this world with nothing and shall leave the same way.  It matters not how much stuff one accumulates in the moment one is on the earth.

You can’t take it with you.

But, no matter how many times one might repeat this maxim, the true meaning of it appears to be lost to those who chase after the wealth of the world.

In addition, in good times and in bad times, it is vital for the believer to trust the LORD will order the believer’s steps for the ultimate good of that believer.

In good times and in bad times, it is vital for the believer to trust the LORD and praise Him for His mercy and goodness.

“…blessed be the name of the LORD.”

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
