For most of man’s existence, his relationship with reality was a relatively simple matter.
A man lived in his reality (the total real events and material goods which surrounded that man) and his reality touched almost every aspect of his life.
It was relatively easy to recognize reality and the number of times in which reality was altered or changed was a rather small amount.
Unless one was a drunk–alcohol being the most common substance/event which presented reality as something other than what it really was.
Yes, there were various plant concoctions ( datura, peyote, various plant-based psychoactive drugs) which also separated man from reality, but these (while commonplace in some odd communities) were fairly rare occurrences over most of the world.
The same goes for various spiritual encounters (both illegitimate supernatural power and interactions with God) which also bent the rules of normal reality: these were not commonplace, particularly those interactions with God or His representatives.
IN THE END TIMES, reality has been under a constant assault.
Some of these attacks have come from various indoctrination schemes involving stories about 1- the Multiverse and other tales of parallel universes; 2- a whole array of mind-altering end times pharmaceuticals, both recreational and lawful; 3- a whole range of occult practices (such as sensory deprivation and/or Eastern breathing exercises) designed to separate a man from his grasp on reality; 4- the indoctrination campaign centered on the claim that man cannot know for sure what reality is; 5- various tales about quantum this-or-that and its relationship with reality; 6- various philosophies learned, including solipsism; or, 7- various attempts to immerse modern man in a manufactured reality via virtual reality or video/computer games.
False realities have a number of selling points, including perhaps their biggest plus: that a manufactured, controlled reality may be a more pleasant and pleasurable place than one’s real-life circumstance.
The question which ought to be setting off alarms bells in modern man is: WHAT is the goal of offering a manufactured, false reality instead of one’s real life?
Though the deceived will quickly answer, “To make money!”, this is not the main goal of offering false realities to modern man.
The main goal of the end times attacks on reality is to nullify ANY and ALL concept of RIGHT and WRONG.
IF there are many realities, then what is RIGHT in one may be WRONG in another dozen alternate realities–and vice versa.
IF there are manufactured, false realities, then RIGHT and WRONG is whatever the one who controls the false reality says it is. This is the idea behind many ultra-violent computer/video games where killing, and even murder, are perfectly moral and logical choices in the scenarios set up by the game creators.
IF reality is not established, then how can a basic concept such as RIGHT and WRONG be established?
This is one of the main reasons behind the end times assault on reality.
HINT: It only gets worse.
“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And there was given unto him a mouth speaking great things and blasphemies; and power was given unto him to continue forty and two months. And he opened his mouth in blasphemy against God, to blaspheme his name, and his tabernacle, and them that dwell in heaven. And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”

DOES the reader believe that virtual realities are nothing more than amusements and/or technological advances meant for the good of humanity?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
