Of all the deceptions the workers of iniquity choose to participate in, probably the worst comes from their belief that they control familiar spirits and other evil spirits sent by God to hand out punishment in this life to the wicked.
This particular deception arises from several sources.
- The workers of iniquity place their faith in the words of old men from the past.
- The workers of iniquity may have been in contact with a spirit from an early age.
- Because they are rebellious, the workers of iniquity place their faith in false SPIRITUAL AUTHORITIES which directly contradict God’s Word.
- Much of the deception comes from the spirits themselves. AS IF these higher order of beings are held in check and restrained by candles, circles drawn in the grass, salt, sparkling gems or crystals or incense or solemn words spoken in a commanding tone. These spirits are NOT restrained and controlled by such items–but it suits their purpose (especially to deceive the one who has been assured he is “protected“) to play along–just as it suits their purpose to let the human believe that he is “in control.“
Because most workers of iniquity have had to toil for (in some cases) YEARS and, sometimes, have had to spend MUCH WEALTH to acquire “secret knowledge” which allows them to summon what is essentially their doom, they believe such spirits are a forbidden source of extrahuman power.
And there are some small displays of demonic power (which in the long run are totally inconsequential).
Because most workers of iniquity are arrogant and vain, they enjoy the feeling of having something most other men do not.
BUT, the sad fact is: the workers of iniquity cling to their judgment AS IF it was some great treasure which is their “right” since they worked so hard to obtain it.
Instead of a perfect judgment from the God they despise (which is unusual since most claim not to believe in Him).
“There shall not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire, or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, Or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits, or a wizard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto the LORD”
–Deuteronomy 18:10-12
Poor, deceived souls!
As families are broken; as their health (and many times, the health of their family members) deteriorates; as their lives crumble and fall apart: the worker of iniquity fails to place the blame where it belongs.
Mostly, the blame falls squarely on themselves.
But ALSO on the same spirit they believe is such a benefit.
Because pride, vanity and arrogance are prime values of the wicked, they are trapped by their belief that they CONTROL their spirits.
Instead of being played as a sucker.
But, as already stated: the worker of iniquity is often deceived AND arrogant.
Regardless of how much proof he has, he STRONGLY DESIRES to believe that his association with a familiar spirit is a benefit, not a judgment.
Even if it means that everything around him that he formerly cared about withers and dies.
DOES the reader believe that being associated with a demon/evil spirit is a blessing?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
