Man desperately wants to believe that he is far-seeing and his vision is all-encompassing.
To this end, man tells MANY stories about how he “saw a need and filled it” OR how he “KNEW that one day, (this particular thing) would HAVE to be done.”
Man attributes much of his success to his farsightedness.
It is the VERY RARE man who admits that his success was due to him being in the ‘right place at the right time’ OR that he was the beneficiary of something other than his own incredible, carefully-nurtured smarts.
OF COURSE, there are hard-and-fast ways to know that this is total hogwash.
ONE WAY is for the reader to scan the available literature on prepping and disaster preparedness.
IF man was farsighted and had great vision, he would prepare for each possible calamity separately. INSTEAD of most prep work being for EVERY possible disaster as if it was the same as every other disaster.
It would seem that to those who spend their time thinking on how to prepare, an out-of-control wildfire = an earthquake = war on the home front = whatever.
IF survival prepping was all that it is purported to be, then–because so many are interested in this topic–there should be VERY FEW people who die during the various disasters which befall the land.
ANOTHER area where man’s supposedly superior vision appears to be lacking is WARFARE.
Each country identifies, employs and handsomely compensates those whose duties include protecting that nation and its people from war by another country or group. Great amounts of money are devoted to the planning of civil defense and war planning.
WHY IS IT THEN, that most countries appear to be TOTAL SURPRISED by the onset of hostilities–particularly when they spend days and sometimes WEEKS or MONTHS jawing at each other PRIOR TO the commencement of hostilities?
And–IF MAN HAS SUPERIOR VISION–why is it that countries usually seem to prepare for the LAST WAR, not the NEXT ONE?
MOST of those who are the self-identified “experts” appear to spend most of their time making excuses for why all of that preparedness meant next-to-nothing.
IF man’s vision was really superior, THEN man would be much better prepared for those times of unsettled chaos.
IF Man’s vision was really all of that, then FASHION and ART would be more than just a series of follow-the-leader events.
IF Man’s vision really did reach the limits of man’s mind, THEN very few people would lose their lives due to ‘unexpected’ happenings.
HAS the reader ever spent a few moments pondering the state of preparing for natural disasters?
DOES the reader believe that men have superior vision when it comes to preparing for the unexpected?
It is not YET too late: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?

DOES the reader believe he is NOT saved?
Time is Running Out: Today is the Day of Salvation
