From time to time, anyone who regularly attempts to warn others of impending danger entertains questions about that activity.
“Why don’t more pay attention to these VERY clear warnings about coming danger?”
“Can I present this in such a manner as to make it sound more compelling–yet retain the necessary urgency?”
“Is there any way to make this warning BETTER?”
IF the person sounding the alarm is a believer, many of these questions have already been answered.
By God’s Word (the Bible).
1- God’s Word says that the whole end times world will be deceived by Satan.
“And the great dragon…that old serpent, called the Devil, and Satan, which deceiveth the whole world”
–Revelation 12:9
The end times world will be so eaten up by deceit that ALL who dwell on the earth–other than those few whose names are written in the book of life of the Lamb–will worship Satan and Satan’s “beast” worldwide government system and its ruler.
“And they worshipped the dragon which gave power unto the beast: and they worshipped the beast, saying, Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him? And it was given unto him to make war with the saints, and to overcome them: and power was given him over all kindreds, and tongues, and nations. And all that dwell upon the earth shall worship him, whose names are not written in the book of life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world.”
–Revelation 13:4,7-8
Against all of that; against a world which ENJOYS being lied to; against a world which is busy “living its life:” is the believer trying to warn the odd soul to change directions (repent) and gain an eternal life in which he probably does not believe.
These are the reasons modern man does NOT heed warnings–though those warnings are clear, concern themselves with current events and/or may affect modern man PERSONALLY.
IF the ancient Israelites ignored the clear warnings of the great prophets (and in some cases, from God Himself), then modern man is unlikely to have a better record at discerning warning words.
2- There is NO improving upon the warnings contained in the Bible.
How can one improve upon what God Himself has clearly warned man of in the last days?
The short answer: he cannot.
SO, the “best” presentation is repeating the warnings contained in God’s Word.
To the few God has chosen to save, those warnings will be enough.
To the many on the wide way of destruction?
There are likely NO words which can be employed to persuade the deceived.
3- There is NO better warning than using that which is found in God’s Word.
For all that the believer has been given, warning others about the pitfalls in the time which lies ahead is a very small price to pay–whether one is paid any attention to or not.
It is the believer’s DUTY to sound the alarm about the soon-to-be-upon-us last days.
Other than that–and prayers for God’s mercy on particular souls–there is little else to be done.
DOES the reader largely ignore end times warnings because they mostly come from “religious nuts“?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
DOES the reader believe he is saved?
