OSCAR WILDE: Celebrated by the World

“The secret of life is to appreciate the pleasure of being terribly, terribly deceived.”
Oscar Wilde

Oscar Wilde–like all “greats” of literature promoted by the world–was a tool of the mystery of iniquity. Wilde’s real importance to literature was that he was one of those who say what many are thinking.  Wilde also played the “Sin is wit” (the forerunner of today’s “Sin is funny”) game.

If anyone wonders about how public figures become public or who denies that the mystery of iniquity doesn’t grease the skids of its puppets who put its words in their mouths, here is an interesting line from Widle’s bio.

“After university…Wilde…lectured in the United States and Canada on the new “English Renaissance in Art”, and then returned to London where he worked prolifically as a journalist. Known for his biting wit, flamboyant dress and glittering conversation, Wilde became one of the best-known personalities of his day.”

A guy with no claim to fame or visible accomplishments lands a lecture tour of the USA?

How exactly does that happen?

Probably the same way a 21-year-old Barack Obama ends up in Pakistan in the early ’80s at the estate of one of the country’s wealthiest families, bird-hunting with the future president and PM of Pakistan.

The world is all about appearances.  Those who are most concerned with appearances are the minions of iniquity.

Here are a few quotes which shed some rare light on what the world really thinks about sin–and on the world’s life of illusion which it pulls over the eyes of the deceived.

“The only way to get rid of a temptation is to yield to it. Resist it, and your soul grows sick with longing for the things it has forbidden to itself, with desire for what its monstrous laws have made monstrous and unlawful.”  —- The Picture of Dorian Gray

“Religions die when they are proved to be true. Science is the record of dead religions.”
Phrases and Philosophies for use of the Young

“Disobedience, in the eyes of any one who has read history, is man’s original virtue. It is through disobedience that progress has been made, through disobedience and through rebellion.”  —Oscar Wilde, The Soul of Man Under Socialism

As is usual, Wilde put the words of the mystery of iniquity in his writing. This is not to say that Wilde didn’t agree, only that he recorded the important points of iniquity in his works.

Much of Wilde’s wit obtained its notoriety from attacking Christian precepts, while hiding behind the skirts of “art” and “wit.”

“Man reaches his perfection, not through what he has, not even through what he does, but entirely through what he is.”
The Soul of Man Under Socialism

“Any preoccupation with ideas of what is right and wrong in conduct shows an arrested intellectual development.” —Oscar Wilde, Phrases and Philosophies for the Use of the Young

“Truth, in the matters of religion, is simply the opinion that has survived.” –Oscar Wilde, The Critic as Artist, Part I

As a member in good standing of the mystery of iniquity, Oscar Wilde promoted their values (the coming new world order, man’s perfectability, abolition of private property, hedonism, etc.).

“When private property is abolished there will be no necessity for crime, no demand for it; it will cease to exist.”
The Soul of Man Under Socialism

“Man reaches his perfection, not through what he has, not even through what he does, but entirely through what he is.”
The Soul of Man Under Socialism

‘Know thyself’ was written over the portal of the antique world. Over the portal of the new world (order), ‘Be thyself’ shall be written.
The Soul of Man under Socialism

Oscar Wilde was truly a man of this world–and the world to this day still celebrates its own.

“If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you.”
John 15:19

“Ye adulterers and adulteresses, know ye not that the friendship of the world is enmity with God? whosoever therefore will be a friend of the world is the enemy of God.”
–James 4:4

“But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”
John 20:31

THE GOSPEL

“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
1 Corinthians 15:1-8

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
