THE WHORE OF BABYLON
The last book of the Bible–Revelation–is a fairly detailed description of end times events before Jesus Christ returns to earth.
The Bible refers to an end times religious system as “the whore (of Babylon–because Babylon was such a source of false religions and idols, as well as the access and worship of illegitimate supernatural power).
Revelation 18 is a fairly detailed account of this religious system, its rise and its fall.
This system is headquartered in, what the Bible calls, “the great city.”
Revelation 18:7-8 gives an account of the religious system’s (as well as the city where it was centered in) judgment and doom.
“How much she hath glorified herself, and lived deliciously, so much torment and sorrow give her: for she saith in her heart, I sit a queen, and am no widow, and shall see no sorrow. Therefore shall her plagues come in one day, death, and mourning, and famine; and she shall be utterly burned with fire: for strong is the Lord God who judgeth her.”

Can the reader hazard a guess as to what and where the Bible is referring?
Revelation also reveals that this religious entity will be destroyed by the very rulers (world leaders who rule the one-world government) it used in its worldwide rise to power.
“And the ten horns which thou sawest upon the beast, these shall hate the whore, and shall make her desolate and naked, and shall eat her flesh, and burn her with fire. For God hath put in their hearts to fulfil his will, and to agree, and give their kingdom unto the beast, until the words of God shall be fulfilled.”

The Bible offers a several clues as to the identity of the whore. Here are a couple:
1- Babylon was once a golden cup in God’s hand.
“Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD’S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.”
–Jeremiah 51:7
So, once upon a time, Babylon was very useful to God Almighty. At the end, however, the golden cup is full of abominations.
“And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication”
–Revelation 17:4
2- The false religious system (called the whore) is drunk with the blood of God’s martyrs and saints. (In fact, Revelation 16:6 says that those who God judges who live upon the earth during the last days have shed the blood of “saints and prophets.”)
3- God’s people are IN Babylon right before it is destroyed and are warned to Get Out!
“And after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful bird. For all nations have drunk of the wine of the wrath of her fornication, and the kings of the earth have committed fornication with her, and the merchants of the earth are waxed rich through the abundance of her delicacies. And I heard another voice from heaven, saying, Come out of her, my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her plagues.”

DOES the reader believe he knows the identity of the whore of Babylon?
HAS the reader gotten his information from wolves, false teachers and evil men and seducers?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

The last book of the Bible, Revelation (which details many end times events), gives the account of a “whore” (often called the “Whore of Babylon“).
“And the woman was arrayed in purple and scarlet colour, and decked with gold and precious stones and pearls, having a golden cup in her hand full of abominations and filthiness of her fornication: And upon her forehead was a name written, MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT, THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH.”

Who or what is this whore?
The whore is clearly a worldwide false religious system which propels the man of sin to world dominance.
The reason God’s Word calls it a “whore” is because that word is frequently used BY GOD HIMSELF when a particular people–who have enjoyed God’s favor–go after idols, devils (demons) and other false gods instead of worshiping God Almighty.
The words “whore” and “whoring” are used to describe this behavior by a particular people throughout the Bible.
“For thou shalt worship no other god: for the LORD, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God: Lest thou make a covenant with the inhabitants of the land, and they go a whoring after their gods, and do sacrifice unto their gods, and one call thee, and thou eat of his sacrifice; And thou take of their daughters unto thy sons, and their daughters go a whoring after their gods, and make thy sons go a whoring after their gods.”

“And the priest shall sprinkle the blood upon the altar of the LORD at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation, and burn the fat for a sweet savour unto the LORD. And they shall no more offer their sacrifices unto devils, after whom they have gone a whoring. This shall be a statute for ever unto them throughout their generations.”

“And the LORD spake unto Moses, saying, Again, thou shalt say to the children of Israel, Whosoever he be of the children of Israel, or of the strangers that sojourn in Israel, that giveth any of his seed unto Molech; he shall surely be put to death: the people of the land shall stone him with stones. “Yet will I leave a remnant, that ye may have some that shall escape the sword among the nations, when ye shall be scattered through the countries. And they that escape of you shall remember me among the nations whither they shall be carried captives, because I am broken with their whorish heart, which hath departed from me, and with their eyes, which go a whoring after their idols: and they shall lothe themselves for the evils which they have committed in all their abominations. And they shall know that I am the LORD, and that I have not said in vain that I would do this evil unto them.”

The entire chapter of Ezekiel 23 is devoted to this topic: a group of people who were favored of God Almighty and who, instead of worshiping Him, deserted Him for idols and devils.
Bible teachers have long taught that the deception that the identity of the whore is a variety of culprits: the Roman Catholic Church, the United States of America, the revived Roman empire which has fallen under the sway of an evil satanic church; as well as other creative imaginings.
HOWEVER, the Bible clearly gives a clue to the whore’s identity in Jeremiah 51:7. It reveals an important fact about end times Babylon.
“Babylon hath been a golden cup in the LORD’S hand, that made all the earth drunken: the nations have drunken of her wine; therefore the nations are mad.”

The woman (whore) in Revelation 17 ALSO has a golden cup in her hand.

So, whatever else is known about the coming whorish worldwide religious system, AT ONE TIME, it was a “golden cup in the LORD’s hand.”
The Bible clearly gives the identity of the whore in Revelation 17–particularly the first five verses. The way the whore is dressed and God calling her a “whore” are among the clues in the first five verses of Revelation 17.

There are clues to the identity of the whore scattered throughout both the Old and New Testament, but Revelation 17 ALONE provides enough clues to pinpoint the ID of the whore.
And so, we are NOW in the end times.
The worldwide false religious system will arise in the near future to deceive the world.
And the world WILL be deceived as man has long been prepared to welcome this coming abomination from Satan and the man of sin.
What is the “whore of Babylon“?
From where does it arise?
ANY who still study their Bible should have no trouble determining its identity.
HOWEVER, not being deceived/persuaded by those of the world is a completely different matter.
DOES the reader study the end times from the Bible?
OR does the reader depend on others (who are well-liked and trusted) to tell him what the Bible says and means?
DOES the reader depend on those from his church to direct him about end times events?

Their removal from society (finally) will be cheered by the general populace. It will be hailed as a tremendous crime-fighting tool. There will be stories about “How Pre-crime Saved my Daughter’s Life.”
Though the media often attempts to twist the gun rights debate into a web of complexity, gun rights is in fact a rather simple issue — either you believe that people have an inherent right to self defense, or you don’t. All other arguments are a peripheral distraction.

When a man experiences the new birth and becomes a follower of Jesus Christ, he sees the world for all its squalor and depravity.
The new believer then realizes that the world contains nothing but death for mankind: the world’s hold over the convert is severely weakened.
BUT that does not mean that the world will so easily relinquish its hold on the new believer.
The world will NEVER stop trying to entangle the new believer in its appetites; its enticements; its attractions.
The Bible is clear that the new believer–though he now has the Spirit of God within him–is still encased in a suit of flesh; of death; of sin.
“For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would.”

HOWEVER, the new believer does not run to embrace sin–as he did when he was of the world. He battles sin, though sometimes he loses.
BUT, he realizes that sin is against the God who had mercy on him and leads to death and destruction. Sin is an enemy, not a fun vacation or an entertaining set of practices to be engaged in.
THIS is the entire reason the new believer is to SEPARATE himself from the world: to help loosen the world’s grip on him and to strengthen him in his constant battle with the world’s sources of sin.
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”

The world will NEVER relax its grip.
Therefore, SEPARATE FROM THE WORLD.
And yet, the world will still triumph for a season.

“America is a Christian nation™” is not a statement of fact.
It is a brand name–like Velveeta™ or Burger King™. It is a lie which has been marketed to deceive Americans into believing they are righteous–regardless of their actions and lack of obedience.
Some facts and figures put into perspective exactly how many real Christians live in America, a country which has been relentlessly marketed as a “Christian nation.”
These numbers go a long way to explaining why the apostate American Church is ready to fulfill its biblical role as part of the worldwide, counterfeit whore Church of the Dragon.
77% (243.3 million) self-identify as Christians (2012 Gallup)
OF THAT NUMBER
23% (72.7 million) are Roman Catholics
2% (6.3 million) are Mormons
Almost 100 million believe they are “born again” (2013 Barna)
“…nearly 100 million children, teens and adults saying they are assured of eternal salvation solely because they have confessed their sins and accepted Jesus Christ as their savior.”
Less than 7% (22 million) claim having “shared their faith” in the past six months (2012 Lifeway Research)
80% of those who claim to be born again offered to pray with someone who was going through a hard time. These people classified this as “sharing their faith.”
69% believe “start[ing} a discussion with a non-Christian in which you intentionally asked what they believe concerning a particular moral or spiritual matter, and continued to ask questions about their views without telling them they are wrong, but continuing to nicely challenge them to explain their thinking and its implications” constitutes sharing your faith.
Less than 2% (6 million) of those who claim they are Christians regularly share (preach) the gospel with the lost, the only biblical method of “sharing the Christian faith.”
6 million true believers out of a nation of over 316 million.
Most likely there are less than 6 million–but whatever the real number, that remnant will be hunted down by the satanic Church which will pretend to be Christian.

WHO ARE THE PEOPLE IN THE CHURCHES?
This is the true state of America: a remnant of perhaps 6 million Christians out of a country of over 316 million.
If church-goers do not preach the gospel (share their faith), they are not Christians.
They are something else: they are lost; they are deceived.
They constitute one of the largest missions fields in the world. If only true Christians could send missionaries into the American churches, many souls might be saved.
What of that other 237 million Americans who claim to be Christians?
What of those who profess “Jesus” with their mouths?
What of the almost 100 million who are deceived into believing they are “born again“?
“…lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof:”

Who are these others who inhabit the apostate American churches?
They are those who support the apostate system which will enable the man of sin. They inhabit a church which looks a lot like Christianity, but speaks like the dragon (Satan).
THE APOSTATE AMERICAN CHURCH
WHORE OF BABYLON THE GREAT: What’s going on in the churches?
“And I beheld another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb, and he spake as a dragon.”

This is the support structure of the worldwide satanic Church described in Revelation. This Church will be worldwide. It will include the Vatican, but do not be deceived: it is NOT the Vatican. The Vatican and the popes are decoys meant to deceive.
The Church which appears to overthrow the Vatican’s New World Order will be the worldwide satanic, whore Church of the man of sin.
“And he exerciseth all the power of the first beast before him, and causeth the earth and them which dwell therein to worship the first beast, whose deadly wound was healed.“

The man of sin will lead the counterfeit whore Church which will overcome the saints of God for a season. Deceived by miracles and false spirits, almost the entire earth will flock to join the man of sin and his satanic Church. These deceived folks will believe they are practicing righteousness.

Already in 2014 many sight-walking churches in America, indoctrinated on displays of supernatural power, hunger to raise the dead. They already worship the dragon and his false spirits every Sunday; a great many confuse false spirits for the Holy Spirit.

Jesus warned there would be no unity–until He returned.

The Bible warns of a great “falling away” (apostasy) in the end times. It is silent about a great revival. However, people will be flocking to the counterfeit whore Church at such a rate, the lost and apostate will believe they are seeing a great revival. THE TRAGEDY OF ANOTHER JESUS, ANOTHER GOSPEL, IDOLS
Offering “praise and worship” with ungodly “praise” songs and engaging in a worldly, flesh-pleasing riot that rivals the most demonic dance clubs are hallmarks of these apostate flesh palaces.
Many of their flock are deceived into believing because they are unrestrained, they are practicing “Christian liberty.” Some in the world derisively call this “Jumping for Jesus.”
Clapping and shouting does not mean one is “sold out for Jesus”–regardless of what the wolves in the pulpit declare.

Another Jesus is worshiped: an idol called jesus, of the congregation’s own making. This fake jesus worshiped in America winks at sin and doesn’t require picking up that inconvenient cross or denying oneself. This reasonable jesus is friendly with the world and doesn’t mind if his Church is as well.
After all, this is America!

Another gospel is preached, complete with its own bells and whistles and appeals to emotion (altar calls), deceiving many into becoming false converts. Without the born again transformation there is no Holy Spirit; without the Holy Spirit, there is no discernment.
Which explains why so many churches are filled with such ungodly nonsense.
It also helps explains why so many who claim to be Christians follow such demonic deceivers as Joel Osteen, John Hagee, Joyce Meyers, Pat Robertson and the rest of their deceiving ilk.
Hopelessly, tragically lost–but believing they are saved: that’s the great bulk of the American Church.
How can one preach the gospel to the lost if the lost have been convinced they are not lost?
Satan’s most infernal plan is flourishing right before our eyes in a nation that has been hopelessly deceived into believing they live in a “Christian nation.”
How can one preach to the lost if the lost will not listen, choosing to believe the fiction they are saved? What does it matter that their lives have not been transformed–they still maintain that they belong to Jesus.
Satan’s plan is working to perfection.
The dragon has constructed his Church from the hollowed-out apostate shell of what should have been Christ’s Church.
CLEANSING THE EARTH OF THE TRUE-BELIEVING REMNANT

The Bible speaks of a great end times country called Babylon. Revelation 17 and 18 call the country “Babylon the Great.” A great end times false church will rise to world power from Babylon. This church will be the whore church of Babylon the Great, described in Revelation 17:4-5.

Many Christians erroneously call the whore church “Mystery Babylon.” The Bible states that the identity of Babylon the Great and the whore Church are a mystery–not the name of the country and Church.
The great country of Babylon will be “Mother of Harlots.” In the Bible, a harlot is used to symbolize any false religion which entices believers away from God Almighty. The harlot always symbolizes spiritual unfaithfulness and spiritual harlotry.
Therefore, Babylon the Great will be a fertile place for false, antichrist religions. Currently, the United States of America fits this description to a “T.” Over two dozen false religions or religious movements have sprung from the fertile American soil of “religious liberty.” In America, every religion–even pagan, satanic ones–are protected by the power of the state.
One of the false religions which did not materialize was centered around a “new Bible” called Oahspe.
Oahspe – (h/t:F) The 19th and early 20th century were great times for the creation of religions in America; many, it’s suspected, by the Freemasons and their allies. The Bible specifies that Babylon the Great is the mother of harlots. And America has been the home and mother of a number of false religions, especially those which are deceptively similar to Christianity.
Oahspe, while not a religion per se, was a sort of bible waiting for a religion to rally around the book. Though not a religion, its proponents were called “faithists.”
Oahspe: A New Bible is a book published in 1882, purporting to contain “new revelations” from “…the Embassadors of the angel hosts of heaven prepared and revealed unto man in the name of Jehovih…” It was written by an American dentist, John Ballou Newbrough (1828–1891), who reported it to have been produced by automatic writing, making it one of a number of 19th-century neo-revelationist works attributed to that practice. Adherents of the revelation expounded in Oahspe are referred to as “Faithists”.
Oahspe and the faithists were a harlot church which never took root in the fertile soil provided by American Babylon. Below is a list of religions/religious movements which got their start in USA, protected by that “religious freedom” that Americans have come to worship. It is a substantial list, though not complete by any means. A 50-year period beginning in the 1830s with the founding of the Mormons was a particularly creative period for the founding of new religions in America.
Almost all of these religions are marked by claims of “new revelation.”

CULTURE AND POLITICS
The Wrong Fight – Americans in general and American Christians in particular: It’s all about the culture. The linked article is ostensibly about Rick Santorum and his possible run for president again in 2016. But the article serves as a reminder that politics and religion and culture are fast becoming one idea.
Politics is downstream from culture.
Andrew Breitbart is the most famous recent purveyor of that American truism, but the Right is slowly waking up to the fact that the loss of nearly all the vehicles driving American culture to the Left has had a devastating effect on conservative electability. The loss of academia puts many if not most Millennial voters out of Republican reach. The inability to penetrate the TV, movie, and record industry outside of a few redoubts like country music makes low-information voters almost monolithically Democrat. The ghettoization of conservative media into talk radio, Fox News, and the conservative blogosphere insures that conservative politicians will be hounded by loud accusations of bigotry and worse.
Last year, I wrote an article on the “seven mountains of culture” message spreading across American churches. YWAM founder Loren Cunningham and Bill Bright (1921-2003), founder of Campus Crusade for Christ, created this concept in 1975. I dismissed it as just another false gospel. But last week, I learned that the “seven mountains” concept is so much more. This false gospel is literally preparing the way for the anti-Christ.
Culture will be presented as a battleground. Those who sit in Christian churches will be urged to unequally yoke to join in the battle. The American church is little more than a web of compromise, apostasy and ungodly worldliness. It has become so conditioned to unequally yoking, accommodating the world and “Christianizing” pagan and occult rituals and practices, it does not have the discernment to know that it is being set up.

The end times are not coming. The end times are upon us.
False apostles and false prophets are abroad in the land. Many of these are run-of-the-mill wolves in sheep’s clothing, but many others are even worse: they are little tyrants hungering for a kingdom of their own on earth. They are seeking a time in the not-too-distant future when they will be calling the shots and when they will wield the power of life and death over the saints–even if it’s only a small geographic area.
These men and women are animated by another spirit: the spirit of antichrist. They will be a part of the system that makes war with the saints and overcomes them–for a season.
USDA Warns of Sticker Shock on Ground Beef as grilling season starts – They will never run out of reasons why, either. All Corporate Media stories promote lies and this one is no exception. The story promotes the lies that “retail food prices for 2013 were essentially flat” meaning no inflation. People who don’t shop might buy that one.
Doctors fighting illness with fist bumps instead of handshakes – The medical profession was looked on a LOT less favorably 100 years ago. The last four or five American generations have given doctors and medicine way too much respect and authority–including the Church.

PAUL EHRLICH: Bodies of Doom and eating the bodies of your dead
Ehrlich, a Stanford University biologist famous for his widely debunked book “The Population Bomb,” doubled down on his climate change and overpopulation fear-mongering with HuffPost Live on May 21. Ehrlich warned host Josh Zepps that the dangers of overpopulation are growing, blaming Republicans and the media for failing to take action.
Ehrlich, after falsely predicting human “oblivion” 46 years ago, told Zepps humans must soon begin contemplating “eat[ing] the bodies of your dead” after resources are depleted (fava beans and a nice Chianti optional, apparently).
Ehrlich is widely known for his 1968 publication of “The Population Bomb” which called for “population control” to prevent global crises from overpopulation. In this book he predicted that “In the 1970’s the world will undergo famines – hundreds of millions of people are going to starve to death” and “[our children] will inherit a totally different world, a world in which the standards, politics, and economics of the 1960’s are dead.” (Would that the politics of the 1960s finally die!)
It’s suspected that Paul Ehrlich may have–at last–offered a prediction which has a chance of happening. Not because Paul Ehrlich is very good at making predictions; to the contrary, Ehrlich has a deplorable record.
No, the only reason for suspecting that Paul Ehrlich may at last have hit on a correct prediction: Paul Ehrlich is a tool of the New World Order. As such, he likely is privy to a bit of “inside” information. At last, Ehrlich just might be correct.

It’s interesting how this story tries to make the concept of weather control into a “conspiracy theory.” Weather control was confirmed as far back as 1997 by the Secretary of Defense in testimony before Congress.
Many today look at the society our rebellion has vomited into existence, and continually tell themselves that we are better off than our parents and grandparents. Who needs affection when you have Twitter? Who needs love when you have Facebook? Who needs a loving, caring, involved two parent home when you have streaming video and on demand movies?
Some have even taken to looking back on the idyllic times of yesteryear and mocking them ceaselessly, because it’s just absurd to consider a family sitting down for dinner together, holding hands, saying a prayer, talking about their day, and being involved in each other’s lives.

The “drug cartels” will be legalized violence that will conveniently strike at particular times, at particular groups of people or at particular inconvenient people. A “major cyber attack” will suffice and of course, the government will inform the country who the culprits were. Convenient.
This case is a good example of the legions of Americans who felt they were born again because they recited the “sinner’s prayer” at a “revival.” From the young man’s testimony, he never experienced a new birth. Now he joins millions of “backsliders” (not a New Testament term) in slandering the Christianity they never knew–but were told they did.
The following information was a great help to me in getting rid of those wild manifestations presented by false revivals and revivalists, teachers, evangelists, apostles and prophets, the big-named elitists as well as those considered nameless, faceless but false non- the- less, through the word of faith, false prophetic, healing, and all other ungodly teachings and impartations, anointings, giftings and visitations, dreams and visions through improper teaching and improper use of “laying on of hands”, and the anointing with oil, and by way of agreement and acceptance of these things by the deceived believer. The demonic, sensual, and much sought after tangible presence of and voice of “god”, to entice the believer to expect a physical touch, feeling, experience, or emotional response from God, or to speak in other, often several different languages that he himself does not know, otherwise known as “diverse tongues”. Additionally to expect to receive new revelation, gifts, power, authority, and healings, prophetic or creative ability by way of visitation and impartation by angels or by way of impartation by another person individually or through “fire tunnels” who claims the God-given ability to pass these on.
All these have set themselves against the Holiness of all that is God, His deity, person, and presence of the one and only true Holy Spirit and the infallible word of God through salvation by the blood of Jesus Christ and the true message of the Gospel, the way Father God intended from the beginning.

They appeal to a person’s ego–both the reader and the writer.

The 1970s and 80s were known as “The Me Generation.” The self-absorbed of that era was the group at which Handey poked fun. But the Me Generation were amateurs compared to the Millennial naval-gazing that takes place in 2014 America.The self-absorbed naturally concentrate on themselves. Their journeys are mostly inward and involve self-discovery. Their deep thoughts revolve around themselves, who they are, what they presume, and what they believe. These self-centered thoughts may passed along to others disguised as “advice.”
The Millennials are the ultimate Me Generation. Raised on self-esteem, lectured on the benefits of self-actualization, self-awareness and self-aggrandizing: the one trait they seem to lack is self-control.
However, it’s hard to fault the Millennials: they have been programmed by TV, society, their schools, their religions, their culture–even their parents in many cases–to look first to themselves for answers.
It’s no accident that the most celebrated art form of the Millennials is that perfect symbol of self-celebration: the “selfie.”

All the preceding has been noted to make the following observations.

When the man of sin comes onto the scene, he will appeal to the “good in people.” Though he will speak great swelling words of a false brotherhood and unity (for all of those who follow him; death for those who disagree), he will invite each person to search for the good that is within. The appeal will be that “You’re a good person. Unleash the goodness that dwells within for the benefit of all mankind.”
This directly contradicts Christianity, which teaches that man is wicked, sinful and lost without a savior.
