Cantor: ‘No One Is Advocating a Government Shutdown’ – Cantor is somewhat of an expert in that 2013 American skill of talking out of both sides of one’s mouth at the same time. Cantor, according to the report:
“In order to avoid a government shutdown, we need 60 votes in the Senate and 218 votes in the House to pass a continuing resolution. To get 60 votes in the Senate, you need at least 14 Democrats to join Republicans and pass a CR that defunds Obamacare. Right now, I am not aware of a single Democrat in the Senate who would join us. If and when defunding has 60 votes in the Senate, we will absolutely deliver more than 218 votes in the House.”
This is why Cantor has risen in the Republican Party: he is brazen enough to blatantly double-speak and smart enough to know, that after decades of the public schools dumbing-down Americans, they don’t have a clue what he’s talking about.
For the House to defund ObamaCare, all they have to do is not vote it any money for its many octopus-like government agencies to operate.
That’s a simple up-down vote. Of course, John Boehner, Eric Cantor, Paul Ryan and the rest of the bought-and-paid-for GOP will not allow such a vote to take place. NOT because it would pass: there’s precious few–if any–uncompromised representatives in the House. No, they won’t allow a vote for now because they are still pretending that they represent the folks back home.
It’s a game they’ll play for a little while longer yet.

“How can the reader know when the Corporate Media is lying to him (never mind the fact that the media is Satan’s Mouthpiece and Satan is the father of lies)? One easy way to tell is the use of “Why” and “How” in the headlines of an article. When the reader sees “Why?” or “How?” in the headline–occasionally “What” is used–that which follows will be a fairy tale, a narrative, a bedtime story spun by the media for the benefit of the media’s master. “Why” usually denotes an on-going narrative; “How” signifies a story line which explains past events. Not all narratives begin with “How” or “Why.” However, the most in-your-face, over-the-top ones usually do. ALL political “news” is narrative.
