The Motivations of Deceived Modern Man

“Beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ.”
-–Colossians 2:8

There is one thing almost all modern men value.

Their comfort.

And so, comfort provides the prime motivation for practically everything end times man does–in spite of the pretty words which come out of the mouths of men.

Truth, justice, freedom, brotherhood, unity, free speech, liberty, tolerance, diversity: all pale beside whatever it is which makes end times man comfortable at the moment.

BUT,  end times man does have a few other things which cause him to act.  And these other motivators are WELL known by those who control the world.

And they are used regularly to herd the public in the direction the mystery of iniquity wishes them to go.

In fact, these other motivators comprise an end times bag of tricks for those who wish to move the masses.

And what are these other things which goad modern man to action?

A few which are used by the media, government and/or business include

  • Fashion – The desire to be fashionable is strong among modern men. This includes the very strong desire to be one of the group; one of the guys; one of the gang–particularly among those who constantly prattle on about being “independent,” “their own person” or “individualistic.”  There is no group more obsessed with being fashionable than teens/young adults.  And there is no group more herd-like in its behaviors, speech patterns, preferences and approval than teens/young adults.
  • Fear – Fear, doubt, anxiety, anxiousness are all basic tools used daily by Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media). The Corporate Media also delivers daily doses of hatred and mistrust.
  • Convenience – The desire to save time or effort is especially strong among those who believe their time in this world is exceedingly precious.
  • Knowledge – Modern man very much values being informed, “in the know,” “in the loop.”  This desire to know all that can be known–as well as the doubt and fear one will be “out of the loop“–is the force behind the constant checking and rechecking personal information devices such as smartphones.
  • “Fear of missing out” is so prevalent in today’s madcap world, it is also known as FOMO–which is one more label for those who are compelled to check, re-check and check again for something new from their data sources.  It is also what motivates those obsessed with accessing the latest lies and propaganda (news junkies).

Unfortunately, all of these things on which deceived modern man place value are TEMPORARY.

Here today, gone tomorrow.

“Something which seems to be everywhere or popular at one point is soon forgotten.”

Because modern man is deceived, he does NOT place much value on the truth.

Because modern man is deceived and lost, he does not place much value on that which exists beyond the world he now inhabits.

This includes eternal salvation.

IF modern man would know the transformation which takes place upon the new birth, he would place great value on entering the kingdom of heaven.

BUT because modern man is deceived, he does not value what he has been taught to disdain.

THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST

 “For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”

IF modern man was reborn in the Spirit, he would no doubt rethink his motivations.

And then, modern man would enjoy a greatly-improved future.

Both in this world and the one which is to come.

DOES the reader know the true value of eternal salvation?

It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

DOES the reader believe he is saved?
