A discussion was held a few days ago. Most of those involved were followers of Jesus.
The topic was ‘Why do the wicked not change their ways and experience eternal LIFE instead of eternal TORMENT?’
This question was apparently TOO HARD for those involved in the discussion.
MOST of the answers ran along the lines of “It doesn’t make any sense! Why wouldn’t they change?”
The most-agreed-upon answer seemed to be BEST:

TODAY’S “FEUDS”
Everyone LOVES to hear and see DRAMA, right?
And what is more dramatic than an apparent feud among the beautiful people, right?
Particularly if the “feud” is between celebrities, politicos or royal nabobs?
IN FACT, the rich and celebrated almost never disagree: they engage in feuds–sometimes for decades after they have ceased being celebrated for anything else.
What would the beautiful people do with themselves if not for their never-ending feuds?
Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media) has always had a problem: what to do when too many of the rich and celebrated have NOTHING “newsworthy” to do. When the media gets tired of reporting what the rich and celebrated are wearing, they turn to the tried-and-true method of of fake “feuds” to generate cheap, plastic “news.”
One popular singer’s entire marketing campaign over the years seems to have been based on engaging in one “feud” after another. But, as the “victims” appear to be primarily the singer’s “fans,” it’s hard to get too worked up over the ruse.
Sports, politics and celebrity culture, European royalty–wherever the rich and celebrated congregate: these are the arenas where readers can most often find stories of “feuds.”
Oh–and pro wrestling…
One can depend on those who labor for the mystery of iniquity to act, in not only an EVIL manner, but also in a very repetitive one as well.
Case in point: when two followers of Satan are working together, one of the first things they do is establish that they 1-do not like each other; 2- they hate each other; or, 3- are fighting against one another.
Democrats and Republicans, Russia and the USA, members of the same family who toil together for evil ends, famous celebrities who are “feuding” with each other: it happens so often, one occasionally has to wonder, “Does Satan have a university or school where he teaches his followers these tricks?”

EXPERIENCES
“He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.”

As a sort of thought experiment, this writer recently spent a significant amount of mind time contemplating EXPERIENCES.
For all of the minutes spent on the topic, there were only a FEW observations which are worth being reprinted.
Those are presented below.
1- When one is a heathen, one has the SAME experiences one has had (up to that point in life) as a born again believer.
NOW, though one’s EXPERIENCES may be the same whether one is a believer or an abject, lost pagan does NOT really matter much. It is the EXPERIENCES one has AFTER one is born again which make the born again believer, not only a NEW creation, but a TOTALLY COMMITTED one as well.
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
–2CORINTHIANS 5:17
The tares (those folks who ACT like they are honest-to-goodness, real Christians) do NOT have these EXPERIENCES because they have never been born again. Therefore, they can EASILY dismiss someone else’s EXPERIENCES as delusional or otherwise NOT valid.
In actuality, the tare attempts to lure others into his snares WITHOUT having a complete knowledge of what he is talking about.
This makes the tare UNCONVINCING, at best, among all but the most deceived of men.

2- A person may have the EXACT, SAME EXPERIENCES as he had beforehand, but he may have a DIFFERENT outlook. This colors the EXPERIENCES to such a degree as to change them in the mind of the person who experienced them.
For example, the person may have experiences which he simply CANNOT explain using the knowledge stored in his mind. These EXPERIENCES happened and they happened in such a way as the one having them KNEW they were REAL.
When one is born again (spiritually), one obtains MUCH new information which helps explain these mysterious events.
The one who is born again ALSO (eventually) determines the TRUTH of a matter which may have eluded him when he depended on the stories of the world.
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”
–John 16:13
3- A TOTALLY COMMITTED pagan will REMAIN a pagan as long as he does NOT change any of his EXPERIENCES with the new, spiritual birth.
“Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
–John 3:5
Without a proper frame of reference, those EXPERIENCES will cause the pagan to casually dismiss those EXPERIENCES he has NOT had.
4- A man’s EXPERIENCES determine a man’s final, eternal destination. God’s everlasting MERCY is activated by a TRULY SINCERE belief on His Son, Jesus Christ.
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.”
–John 3:16-17
5- So many have the name of Jesus on their lips, but do not otherwise believe on Jesus–unless their world is caving in. Do NOT let the EXPERIENCES the reader has NOT YET HAD ruin a perfectly good eternity.
For a trouble-free eternity: let the love of God change the reader’s EXPERIENCES.

THE FIRST RECORDED PREDICTION

Maybe it’s NOT fair to include the prophecies of God in a list of predicted events.
AFTER ALL, God inhabits ALL points in time, what man calls “the past, present and future.” So God can predict future events with COMPLETE confidence, having already seen what is going to happen at that time.
HOWEVER, the FIRST prediction is recorded in the Book of Genesis’ Chapter 3. The prediction was made by God (who KNEW what would take place) and had to do with Him sending his Son, Jesus Christ, to earth in order to save mankind in the future and Satan ultimately failing to stop Jesus.
The prediction was made immediately after God judged Adam and Eve for disobedience and was made to the serpent (Satan), who provoked the first couple to sin.
“And the LORD God said unto the serpent, Because thou hast done this, thou art cursed above all cattle, and above every beast of the field; upon thy belly shalt thou go, and dust shalt thou eat all the days of thy life: And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”

This FIRST prediction (made by God Himself) is a study in the economy of words.
“…it shall bruise they head, and thou shalt bruise his heel.”
Satan is being told by his CREATOR that Jesus will bruise (destroy) his empire of evil (head) and that Satan shalt bruise (destroy) his heel (his human body Jesus used while on earth).
OF COURSE, this ALL came to pass.
As Jesus Himself told His disciples:

GOD’S NOT DEAD: THE MOVIE
Review/Rant: God’s Not Dead – The Most Offensive Movie I’ve Ever Seen – The author of this piece seems concerned about starting “conversations” (If only one could buy stock in annoying, overused buzzwords).
The only conversation this piece starts is “How ironic is it when a review exhibits the same flaws the reviewer sees in the movie he’s supposed to be reviewing?”
If the piece had been more clever, the reviewer might have given the reader the sense that the irony was planned. But no, it was wholly unintentional as the only cleverness here will be the reader devising ways to trick himself into finishing it.
This is however an excellent example of the license youngsters believe they have IF they first use the word “Rant” in the headline of a piece. “Rant” is the ideal word for the self-exalted times in which we live; a word beloved by the those with little more to offer than attitude.
In engaging in such gross self-indulgence at the readers’ expense, writers make the review about themselves instead of the subject they are supposedly reviewing. This makes these kinds of pieces–as well as the popularity of “Rant”–perfect for a generation whose highest art form is the selfie.
Atheists Bad, Christians Good: A review of “God’s Not Dead” – A much better review–which is not the same as saying the ideas it communicates are correct. Though written by an atheist, it is far less self-indulgent and therefore, much easier to read.

I don’t imagine that this movie will cause multitudes of unbelievers to come to Jesus, although I do think that many may come to Christ as a result of the seeds planted, but the true effect of God’s Not Dead will be on the life of believers.
This writer’s take of God’s Not Dead? It’s not a very good movie but it’s the perfect movie for the pew-sitters now inhabiting churches. The protagonist’s “defense” of God is not very good.
IF any atheists were converted by this movie, it would only be through a miracle of God–and it would present a better argument for the existence of God than anything offered in the movie.

WORSHIPING LIBERTY: AN IDOL
Satan’s Mouthpiece relentlessly tries to justify rebellion against the civil authorities to Americans–especially those Americans who weekly congregate in the pagan churches.

The linked article’s ending paragraph is particularly instructive. After a piece that began as a supposed warning against secret societies (not a bad thing), it ends with:
Kiss your children, your husband or wife every day. Tell them everyday how much you love them. Get on your knees and ask Him, the Creator of heaven and earth, to please help us battle the real forces of evil.”
Good advice–if the author had stopped there. But, because this is 2013 and we’re being programmed to join a coming rebellion against the civil authorities, it doesn’t stop there but adds the following:
Without God on our side, we will not survive as a free nation. Those who bled the battlefields during the Revolutionary War humbled themselves and prayed to Almighty God, asking Him to guide and give them strength. They knew what they were up against. I know what we’re up against. We cannot win without Him on our side.”

Does God give guidance and “strength” to those in the process of overthrowing what is in His word?
Here’s a tip: if something contradicts the Word of God, it doesn’t matter how many times the author invokes the name of (a) god, it’s still to be marked by Christians. The many articles written attempting to justify rebellion for Christians clearly contradict scriptures, notably 1 Peter 2:13-14 and Romans 13:1-7.
In addition, 2 Peter 2:9-10 is very clear–particularly for all of those who plead “It’s alright to rebel against tyranny!”
“The Lord knoweth how to deliver the godly out of temptations, and to reserve the unjust unto the day of judgment to be punished: But chiefly them that walk after the flesh in the lust of uncleanness, and despise government. Presumptuous are they, selfwilled, they are not afraid to speak evil of dignities.”
The word translated as “government” can also be translated as “authority.”
The American Revolution was not just a rejection of the rule of the king of England, but a rejection of the rule of Jesus Christ. He Himself forbade us to take up the sword and commanded us to render unto Caesar the things that are Caesar’s. The Apostle Paul states that those who oppose government oppose God. Yet the Founding Fathers” took up the sword and opposed with powder and ball the lawful government. They founded a “Novus Ordo Seculorum” (New World Order or New Order of the Ages) which explicitly left out what Christendom had held for over 1700 years: that Jesus is Lord of lords and King of kings. The “founding fathers” deliberately chose to reject God as the ultimate sovereign and replace Him with the “will of the people.” America divorced Jesus Christ and chose to pursue the world’s oldest profession.

The U.S. Constitution begins:
“We the People of the United States, in order to form a more perfect Union, establish Justice, ensure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity, do ordain and establish this Constitution for the United States of America.”
Was it the Blessings of God that the USA sought?
NO, it was the “Blessings of Liberty.” Highly unusual language, to say the least, especially in the 18th century.
Especially for a country supposedly filled with Christians.
When “liberty” is a people’s highest value, that people will be totally distraught, disoriented and devastated when their values comes crashing to the ground.
Put your faith in Jesus Christ and secure His blessings–not the false idols of man.
