REBELLION AND COUNTERFEIT CHRISTIANS
Concerning an article from the deceptively-named Christianity Today.
A few points:
1- the author sets up straw man “Christians” who don’t mind the TSA, NSA, DHS or any other freedom-squelching alphabet agencies.
Perhaps these “Christians” exist, but this writer has not met any.
However, because these “Christians” did not “speak up” to the (unstated) degree which the author finds acceptable, these imaginary “Christians” are now guilty when TSA agents grope children.
2- The author makes statements based on a hodgepodge of unsupported claims (“Yet, Christians today do not sound much like the Christians then” and “before most Christians are even concerned about it“[Implying that “most” Christians are not concerned about TSA abuses. On what does the author base this claim?])
3- The author claims “For the record, I don’t watch (much) right-wing television or believe there is a global cabal working toward a New World Order.” For that same record, what does Mr. Non-believer have to say about Psalm 2:2-3?

Clearly the Bible teaches that there will be a NWO-type one-world government and that a conspiracy of powerful men/rulers is behind it.
4- The author claims “I suspect, were our Founding Fathers still around, they might just be convening a new constitutional convention to deal with the erosion of our freedoms.”
Of course, the founders did no such thing in their day. FIRST, they rebelled against the existing governmental authority–in direct contradiction of multiple scriptures.
The constitutional convention wasn’t convened until 6 years after the end of that rebellion. And it was only convened as a subterfuge to bring the 13 colonies under the heel of the envisioned all-powerful, all-controlling federal government.
Note: at that 1787 constitutional convention, the founders set up the very system with which the author is so upset today?!? Seems like his beef should be with James Madison instead of with today’s “Christians.”
5- Lastly, the author attempts to circumvent the most-quoted scripture against rebelling against the civil authorities: “Unless we admit there are some limits to Romans 13, the government becomes like a god, rather than an instrument of God.”
Perhaps the author needs to take that up with God Himself? Maybe he can persuade God to change His Word? Maybe the Holy Spirit forgot to inspire Paul to include the “admit there are some limits” clause?
Perhaps the author might ask “Hath God said?”

The author may protest that an earlier article of his from 2010 did not advise resistance. That article was schizophrenic. Advising “Christians” to resist-–but insisting that those who headed the agencies responsible for the policies to be resisted were okay. “I do not consider Secretary Napolitano and TSA Administrator John Pistole to be bad people with nefarious motives.”
Counterfeit Christians and tares will ALWAYS have reasons they question the Bible. These reasons may sound reasonable to them (as they did to the serpent), BUT they contradict God’s Word.
This is one way to identify tares among the wheat.
This is the type of article we’re seeing from such publications as Christianity Today, which was founded by Billy Graham.

And really: what is more exciting than manufactured drama?

IN FACT, the rich and celebrated almost never disagree: they engage in feuds–sometimes for decades after they have ceased being celebrated for anything else.
What would the beautiful people do with themselves if not for their never-ending feuds?
Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media) has always had a problem: what to do when too many of the rich and celebrated have NOTHING “newsworthy” to do. When the media gets tired of reporting what the rich and celebrated are wearing, they turn to the tried-and-true method of of fake “feuds” to generate cheap, plastic “news.”
One popular singer’s entire marketing campaign over the years seems to have been based on engaging in one “feud” after another. But, as the “victims” appear to be primarily the singer’s “fans,” it’s hard to get too worked up over the ruse.
Sports, politics and celebrity culture, European royalty–wherever the rich and celebrated congregate: these are the arenas where readers can most often find stories of “feuds.”
Oh–and pro wrestling…
One can depend on those who labor for the mystery of iniquity to act, in not only an EVIL manner, but also in a very repetitive one as well.
Case in point: when two followers of Satan are working together, one of the first things they do is establish that they 1-do not like each other; 2- they hate each other; or, 3- are fighting against one another.
Democrats and Republicans, Russia and the USA, members of the same family who toil together for evil ends, famous celebrities who are “feuding” with each other: it happens so often, one occasionally has to wonder, “Does Satan have a university or school where he teaches his followers these tricks?”

When the reader sees “Why?” or “How?” in the headline–occasionally “What” is used–that which follows will be a fairy tale, a narrative, a bedtime story spun by the media for the benefit of the media’s master. “Why” usually denotes an on-going narrative; “How” signifies a story line which explains past events. The time of the mark of the beast is not far off.
One point of discussion during the past week: the intersection of the almost-ubiquitous American fashion of tattooing AND the mark of the beast (666) of Revelation 13 is a point where stylized 666s adorn many of the youth in the World’s Most Christian Nation Ever!™
The only redeeming detail of the entire situation is the number who either
1) sincerely do not know what the numbers mean;
OR
2) pretend to be clueless about what they have had tattooed on their bodies.
Stylized (and not-so-stylized) 666s are seemingly everywhere one looks in the Land of the Free™: in the adornments in houses; in the corporate world; emblazoned on the skin of the young and not-so-young.
When receiving the mark of the beast becomes the requirement in order to buy and sell, the vast majority of Americans will shrug their shoulders.
And with all of the fables currently circulating in the buildings called “churches,” receiving the mark will be no big deal–particularly among the church folk.

The culture has concentrated on getting people to focus on themselves; to look within themselves.
It’s the goal of the government, media, science, culture, entertainment, technology, and churches. At some point soon, people will be asked to find within themselves their divine spark: that they are a god. Most will have absolutely no problem doing that.
Their parents and schools have more or less told the latest and greatest generations they were gods since they were children.
