Tag: trying to wrap one’s head around the unlimited power of God
To comprehendsomethingthatoneconsiderschallenging,confusing, or a foreignconcept.
IF the reader has a few spare moments, he MAY want to spend them contemplating the power of God.
The UNLIMITED power of God.
This particular line of thinking and examination may lead to hours of discovery, speculation and/or revelation. IN FACT, the reader may end up with a whole HEAD full of information.
IF one is a committed NONbeliever, then this is a relatively SHORT line of inquiry since one does not believe God exists (let alone His UNLIMITED power).
The church folk are so used to having a great many of their prayers go UNANSWERED. They become such creatures of habit over this NONanswering of NONprayers that they do not believe God spends ANY of His UNLIMITED power answering those requests.
God spends his power on answering the requests of FOLLOWERS–not pretenders.
“And whatsoever we ask, we receive of him, because we keep his commandments, and do those things that are pleasing in his sight.”
–1JOHN 3:22
“And all things, whatsoever ye shall ask in prayer, believing, ye shall receive.”
–Matthew 21:22
“Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you. And ye shall seek me, and find me, when ye shall search for me with all your heart.”
–Jeremiah 29:12-13
So the LORD DOES expend a little (which is all that is needed) power answering the prayers of those who trust Him with their WHOLE HEART.
Yes, God answers the prayers of all who love and fear Him–which does NOT include those who scoff at the notion of a powerful God.
“The LORD is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.”
–Proverbs 15:29
As odd as it may seem, ALL believers were once NONbelievers.
ALL are saved eternally by God’s great and enduring grace and mercy, which is activated by a belief in Jesus Christ (and who knows if God Himself doesn’t activate this belief? Perhaps this belief in Jesus Christ is part of God’s great mercy–and power?).
ANYHOW, it takes a LOT of time and effort to overcome the force of habit built up over the years as a NONbeliever. That habit is that God does NOT answer his people’s prayers–or answers such a small percentage of them as to make the ritual practically negligible. Never mind that thousands of tares BELIEVE mistakenly that they are believers.
FOLLOWERS of God have a difficult time wrapping their heads around God’s UNLIMITED power.
The very concept of UNLIMITED power is a hard idea to grasp because access to that type of power is on a VERY limited basis.
It is a VERY hard idea to grasp that God is willing to unlock His UNLIMITED power for those who SINCERELY follow Him.
ACCEPTING that God’s power is UNLIMITED and has NO boundaries is the first step toward worshiping God as He desires.
“God is a Spirit: and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth.”
–John 4:24
(A little something for the average reader to keep in mind as the end times gear up.)
DOES the reader have his prayers answered on a regular basis?
It is not YET too late–although time is surely running out: there is still a LITTLE time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”
—1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
“Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy announced he is retiring today. “Do you know what that means?!” said Trump, who was REALLY asking.”
–Seth Meyers (2018)
“According to a poll by National Geographic, 65 percent of Americans said President Obama would better handle an invasion by space aliens than Mitt Romney. Well sure, once the aliens landed they’d see there’s no jobs and they’d go home.”
–Jay Leno (2012)
“There’s a lot of fighting going on right now in Washington, and one Republican congressman said he thinks the U.S. is heading toward another civil war. At first, President Trump was excited because he thought that meant there’ll be another “Avengers” movie.”
–-Jimmy Fallon (2018)
“President Trump is back on the campaign trail. He had a rally-slash-one-man show in Duluth, Minnesota, last week. It’s good for him — whenever he’s feeling down he gets a bunch of white people together to watch him scream about CNN.”
–Jimmy Kimmel (2018)
“President Trump today accused Democrats of wanting “unlimited crime.” Coincidentally, Unlimited Crime was also the most popular class at Trump University.”
–Seth Meyers (2018)
“But actually, he thought as he readjusted the Ministry of Plenty’s figures, it was not even forgery. It was merely the substitution of one piece of nonsense for another. Most of the material that you were dealing with had no connection with anything in the real world, not even the kind of connection that is contained in a direct lie. Statistics were just as much a fantasy in their original version as in their rectified version. A great deal of time you were expected to make them up out of your head.”
–On changing government statistics – George Orwell, Nineteen Eighty-Four
Do you believe the media? Then why do you believe their lying polls?
“Political campaigns today are all side shows, all honors, all bombast, glitter, and speeches. These are for the most part unrelated to the main business of studying the party scientifically, of supplying the public with party, candidate, platform, and performance, and selling the public these ideas and products.”
—Edward Bernays, Propaganda (1928)
“But these are written, that ye might believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God; and that believing ye might have life through his name.”
—John 20:31
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
-–Romans 1:16
THE GOSPEL OF JESUS CHRIST
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

–1 Corinthians 15:1-8
“For the preaching of the cross is to them that perish foolishness; but unto us which are saved it is the power of God. For it is written, I will destroy the wisdom of the wise, and will bring to nothing the understanding of the prudent.”
-—1 Corinthians 1:18-19
THE END TIMES WORLD IS A DARK, DARK PLACE. JESUS IS THE LIGHT.
The world–particularly the end times world–is a dark, dark place.
The darkness is caused by DECEPTION.
“And we know that we are of God, and the whole world lieth in wickedness.”
–1JOHN 5:19
[One of the deceptions is the Satan-approved Bible translations which change 1JOHN 5:19 from “the whole world lieth in wickedness.” to “the whole world lies in the Wicked One.” But ANYONE who has studied the verse in the original Greek KNOWS that the original KJV translation is the CORRECT ONE.]
“For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.”
–Isaiah 60:2
Though the world be covered in the darkness of deception, Jesus is the light of the world.
“And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.”
–John 1:5
“…he knoweth what is in the darkness, and the light dwelleth with him.”
–Daniel 2:22
“Then spake Jesus again unto them, saying, I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life.”
–John 8:12
“It’s a great day for President Obama. His healthcare law was upheld by the Supreme Court. The president apparently had three speeches ready to go this morning. One if the law was overturned, one if the law was upheld, and one if Joe Biden chewed up the other two.”
–Craig Ferguson (2012)
“After 30 years on the bench, Supreme Court Justice Anthony Kennedy is retiring from the Supreme Court. He’s 81 years old, so he’s going to go from sitting around in a robe all day to sitting around in a robe all day.”
–-Jimmy Fallon (2018)

And what is more dramatic than an apparent feud among the beautiful people, right?
Particularly if the “feud” is between celebrities, politicos or royal nabobs?
IN FACT, the rich and celebrated almost never disagree: they engage in feuds–sometimes for decades after they have ceased being celebrated for anything else.
What would the beautiful people do with themselves if not for their never-ending feuds?
Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media) has always had a problem: what to do when too many of the rich and celebrated have NOTHING “newsworthy” to do. When the media gets tired of reporting what the rich and celebrated are wearing, they turn to the tried-and-true method of of fake “feuds” to generate cheap, plastic “news.”
One popular singer’s entire marketing campaign over the years seems to have been based on engaging in one “feud” after another. But, as the “victims” appear to be primarily the singer’s “fans,” it’s hard to get too worked up over the ruse.
Sports, politics and celebrity culture, European royalty–wherever the rich and celebrated congregate: these are the arenas where readers can most often find stories of “feuds.”
Oh–and pro wrestling…
One can depend on those who labor for the mystery of iniquity to act, in not only an EVIL manner, but also in a very repetitive one as well.
Case in point: when two followers of Satan are working together, one of the first things they do is establish that they 1-do not like each other; 2- they hate each other; or, 3- are fighting against one another.
Democrats and Republicans, Russia and the USA, members of the same family who toil together for evil ends, famous celebrities who are “feuding” with each other: it happens so often, one occasionally has to wonder, “Does Satan have a university or school where he teaches his followers these tricks?”
—-University of Satan
“Let every soul be subject unto the higher powers. For there is no power but of God: the powers that be are ordained of God. Whosoever therefore resisteth the power, resisteth the ordinance of God: and they that resist shall receive to themselves damnation.”
–Romans 13:1-2
“Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for the Lord’s sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; Or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well.”
–1PETER 2:14
There are many other passages which echo the verses above.
However, Donald Trump is the figurehead for a Land of Rebellion–whose denizens have been taught from an early age that “submit” and “obey” are fighting words.
“A group of shareholders at Facebook might be plotting to get rid of Mark Zuckerberg. And their plan would be way more likely to work if Mark wasn’t spying on them using Facebook.”
–Jimmy Fallon (2018)
“Call me old-fashioned but what I love best about the Fourth of July is all of the flags. Of course, they’re all made in China but still it’s the sentiment. “
–David Letterman (2012)
“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”
–H.L. Mencken
“How can the reader know when the Corporate Media is lying to him (never mind the fact that the media is Satan’s Mouthpiece and Satan is the father of lies)? One easy way to tell is the use of “Why” and “How” in the headlines of an article. When the reader sees “Why?” or “How?” in the headline–occasionally “What” is used–that which follows will be a fairy tale, a narrative, a bedtime story spun by the media for the benefit of the media’s master. “Why” usually denotes an on-going narrative; “How” signifies a story line which explains past events. Not all narratives begin with “How” or “Why.” However, the most in-your-face, over-the-top ones usually do. ALL political “news” is narrative.
“American journalism (like the journalism of any other country) is predominantly paltry and worthless. Its pretensions are enormous, but its achievements are insignificant.”
― H.L. Mencken
“Things are never quite what they seem. Events are seldom close to how the media and history portray them.”
“It is a free press…There are laws to protect the freedom of the press’s speech, but none that are worth anything to protect the people from the press.”
–Mark Twain, speech: License of the Press
“If you repeat a lie often enough, people will believe it, and you will even come to believe it.”
—Joseph Goebbels, Nazi Minister of Propaganda
“Journalists” are story-tellers. Nothing more, nothing less. Sometimes, there is an element of truth in their stories, but truth is not a requirement of what they do.
Most exorcism–as portrayed in popular entertainment, the media and “deliverance ministries”–is performance art. There should be be awards (much like the Oscars) for Best Performing Exorcist.
“Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
—Matthew 7:22-23
Make no mistake: there ARE demons.
And there IS the casting out of demonic entities.
And there IS spiritual warfare.
But much “spiritual warfare” (as it is portrayed very publicly by the world’s men) contains a LOT of nonsense, as well as a LOT of unbiblical kabuki.
Checking our archives of articles on the topic of ‘America,’ we found 60 articles. We’ve listed the 25 most popular ones below. There’s also a link to the other forty at the end of the list.
THE AMERICAN CHURCH MENU: “I’ll take no Bible study, abortion, a little rebellion, some same sex marriage, a little pride of life and an extra order of women pastors on the side, please.”
I have no problem with telling people that, when they ask. I have no problem with other religions be they Christian, Jehovah’s Witness, or whomever, telling me. Faith is important to me, and if it is so important to someone else that they profess it, more power to them.
This was EXACTLY the stance of this writer–when he was a heathen.
There was no pretensions of being a “Christian.” He knew exactly what he was–and a “follower of Jesus Christ” wasn’t on the menu.
We live in a country where MANY claim to be Christians, yet do NOT adhere to the tenets of Christianity. In fact, disobedience is a boldly-announced part of this ethos.
Such people place God’s Word in the “Options I have looked at but have declined to follow” list.
However, IF one is a Christian, one follows the commands of God’s Word.
It’s that simple.
“If you love me, keep my commandments.”
—John 14:15
“Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.”
—Matthew 5:17-18
The linked piece then goes on to inform readers that the author is a Christian who’s okay with same sex marriage.
And what did the Law have to say about homosexuality?
“Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination.”
—Leviticus 18:22
“If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them.”
—Leviticus 20:13
Lest anyone think that homosexuality was only a sin in the Old Testament, the apostle Paul wrote about it several times and in very easy-to-understand sentences.
“Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: neither the sexually immoral, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor men who practice homosexuality,”
—1 Corinthians 6:9
The two Greek words translated in this phrase refer to the active and passive partners in a homosexual relationship.
Pretty clear, huh?
NOW, we’re not to condemn homosexuals–or anyone. We’re to offer them a way out of their enslavement/delusion to sin–just as Christians are to offer any who are lost a way out.
Christians are to preach the gospel to any and all–particularly the lost and deluded.
BUT only 2 percent of American Christians share their faith. Which means that 98 percent of the people who sit in churches and call themselves “Christian” in America ARE NO SUCH THING: they’re pretenders.
These people are not godless: they all have their own little gods they’ve created.
But their little gods are not God Almighty–and their worshipers are not Christians.
They are idol worshipers.
The following are what the pretenders are saying (at the moment) about homosexuality.
IF one doesn’t follow God’s Word, one is something other than a Christian–and the god that person is following is an idol erected to receive the worship the God of the Bible deserves.
But America is a land of idols. This is confirmed by the many times one hears the phrase “My god wouldn’t (or would) do so-and-so.”
One can be a Christian.
OR, one be a same sex marriage supporter.
But one can’t be both.
It’s really very simple.
Except in apostate America which specializes in turning sin into virtue. Americans think they can “have it all.”
Well, they can’t.
Not on this topic anyway.
Christianity is not an arena for debate and discussion. One doesn’t get to have an opinion on something about which God has already spoken. While Americans are used to proclaiming “I think” and “I feel,” these have no place in true Christianity.
Christianity is not a menu.
One either follows God’s commandments and is a Christian.
OR one picks and chooses and is not. One can go to a church, own a Bible, and boldly proclaim that he is a Christian–but that doesn’t mean anything when it’s all said and done.
Jesus was quite clear on the matter.
“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works?”
“And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.”
—Matthew 7:21-23
There is much written about preaching the gospel to all the world.
Jesus said that before the end, the gospel of the kingdom will be preached. When does this take place?
“And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”
–Matthew 24:14
The Bible tells us when this takes place.
“And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people”
–Revelation 14:6
This takes place immediately before Jesus returns.
Some have said that Jesus cannot return until WE preach the gospel to all the world.
The Bible is clear: WE have nothing to do with it.
As usual, man has an inflated sense of his own self-importance.
