“Lie not one to another, seeing that ye have put off the old man with his deeds; And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: Where there is neither Greek nor Jew, circumcision nor uncircumcision, Barbarian, Scythian, bond nor free: but Christ is all, and in all.”
–Colossians 3:9-11
Put off the old man.
Born of the water and of the Spirit.
Transformed life.
Put on the new man.
Born again.
God’s Word uses several phrases to describe the spiritual rebirth which believers undergo.
HOWEVER, the Bible give very little actual descriptions of what happens when one undergoes the new birth–and this has proved to be a problem for those who pretend to be Christians: the tares.
This has proved to be a problem for Satan’s little puppets because they have to pretend to be participants in a process for which there is precious little written in God’s Word. And so (as usual), the counterfeits have to pretend to be something based on their best guess of what that something is.
Usually these pretensions feature a LOT of drama and emotion (crying, sobbing, throwing themselves around while loudly proclaiming “THIS was the day I came to the LORD and it’s a day which I will never forget!”).
This is helpful to the handful of believers who easily spot the counterfeits by their outrageous “Born Again Stories.”
Believers only need refer back to their own experiences to check the validity of such claims.
Undergoing the new SPIRITUAL rebirth is such an otherworldly happening–with results which are so outside one’s other worldly experiences–that, many times, a believer will find the event hard to put into words.
HOWEVER, the event is so unlike any other experienced, that the rebirth itself is one of the “infallible proofs” that God’s Word is true.
Regardless of how clever and intelligent Satan’s minions are, they find it hard to replicate an event 1- which they do not understand; and, 2- for which they do not have any points of reference.
All which means (like any bad acting gig): they can fake it–but it is apparent to the audience these actors are faking it.
DOES the reader wonder if he has experienced the new birth?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
And that he was seen of Cephas, then of the twelve: After that, he was seen of above five hundred brethren at once; of whom the greater part remain unto this present, but some are fallen asleep. After that, he was seen of James; then of all the apostles. And last of all he was seen of me also, as of one born out of due time. ”

“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”

“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”
–2CORINTHIANS 5:17
One of the most popular topics in the churches might be discussions about the “new birth through Jesus Christ.”
Born again.
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
–John 3:3
A new birth: a Spirit-based birth–as opposed to the physical birth which brings a soul into this world.
“Being born again, not of corruptible seed, but of incorruptible, by the word of God, which liveth and abideth for ever.”
–1PETER 1:23
The transformed life of a believer.
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
–Romans 12:2
So many claim to be born again, but it is fairly obvious that these people do NOT live a transformed life. There is NO evidence of their being reborn spiritually into the kingdom of heaven. There is NO proof that they even know what being re-born spiritually means.
Which is why so many who congregate in the churches live lives they THINK are Christian lives. BUT then, they say and do things which prove they are still of this world.
Some live lives they think others will believe to be “Christian.” Many times, these lives are nit-picking, humorless lives filled with strict attention to detail–and the detail is mostly NOT biblical.
SO, what does it mean to be born again?
Quite a few things could be written about the transformed life, but the scope of this piece is cover only a few of these.
1- The present world is not very important, other than for the believer to do the tasks commanded by Jesus Christ and God’s Word.
To one who is born again, this world and the things of this world become very unimportant. One way to tell counterfeit Christians who claim to be born again: they claim to be born again spiritually, but their focus is on this world and the things of this world. The world and the things of the world are what they find important. It is what they talk about.
The things of the world are the focus of their lives.
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”
–1JOHN 2:15-16
2- Those who have been born again enjoy the peace of God almost immediately.
The man who is reborn spiritually through Jesus Christ will almost immediately notice a total and encompassing peace. Sleep come easily and naturally. Sleep is restful and as long as is needed. Time not spent sleeping is time useful for the tasks commanded by God’s Word.
This peace is effective.
This peace is sudden.
This peace is complete.
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
–Philippians 4:7
3- The new believer will notice that many bad behaviors immediately cease.
There is no “willpower” needed. It is like someone else is doing it all for you.
And someone else IS doing it for the believer: God’s Holy Spirit.
4- There is a change in the way one regards God’s Word.
“For ever, O LORD, thy word is settled in heaven.”
–Psalm 119:89
There are many who CLAIM to believe the Bible.
There are few who actually believe it.
When one is a heathen, one SAYS he believes the Bible–especially around others of a like mind.
It’s just sort of the “thing to say.”
But looking back, when one was a heathen, one did not REALLY believe the Bible. If science and the Bible disagreed, then one sided with science. If what one was taught in school and the Bible disagreed, then one sided with what was taught in school. If the latest publications and research disagreed with the Bible, then one believed the latest publications and research.
ONLY after being born again does a man get the whole perspective and TRULY believe the Bible.
This is the doing of the Holy Spirit, who will lead the believer into all truth–and God’s Word is the only source of truth in today’s deceptive world.
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.”
–John 16:13
5- Regardless of how often or seldom one consulted or studied God’s Word previously, after being born again, one has a hunger to study and KNOW God’s Word.
Within days, one will get a yearning to study and know God’s Word. This desire to know the Bible is noticed as something new: it was NOT present before.
Within days, one will also get a desire to seek out others who are of a like mind. Naturally, new believers tend to gravitate towards one of the churches–until it becomes obvious that the churches are NOT of God.
These are a few of the visible results a man who has experienced the transformed life will experience.
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith (hope) for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

In the end times, the world loves to tell stories about a place called OUTER SPACE.
Although many of these stories do not agree with other stories told by science about OUTER SPACE, those who tell the stories must feel that the public (who is the target for these stories) doesn’t really pay too close attention to what they’re being told.
And the storytellers would be right: the public DOES NOT pay very close attention.
In fact, IF the reader was interested, had 15 or 20 minutes and access to a good library with plenty of books, the reader could find more than one hole in these stories. But, as stated, the public is busy–and the public is only paying a little attention to them as they are being told by the media.
ASTEROIDS
One of the stories has to do with asteroids, those supposedly big chunks of space rock which have started menacing earth over the past 24 or 25 years.
The reason for the asteroid stories?
To frighten the population. After all, a scared herd of people is much easier to control.
So, the threat of an asteroid slamming into the earth and killing many humans is a story that is told nearly every day by the Corporate Media or science.
With the claimed threat to earth by all of the asteroids, those who control the governments of man want to create more of an infrastructure to deal with the space rocks. This means more gadgets, more organizations, more money and more resources all dedicated to saving the planet from asteroids.
“The whole aim of practical politics is to keep the populace alarmed (and hence clamorous to be led to safety) by menacing it with an endless series of hobgoblins, all of them imaginary.”
—H.L. Mencken
SPACE JUNK
Space junk is a relatively new story.
It’s about the large amount of rockets and satellites which are supposedly launched into outer space. THEN, these man-made objects fall apart and then float around (or fall to earth OR float around for awhile THEN fall to earth).
Since the story of space junk is relatively a new story, there is a LOT of flexibility in where this story is headed. That makes it convenient for those who tell these stories.
Space junk is a story which is regularly repeated–as ALL propaganda must be–in the media. Expect more emphasis to be put on so-called SOLUTIONS to space junk (which will almost certainly be used for other, more-earthly purposes).
OUTER SPACE
Popular stories of outer space began with science fiction about planets, space travel, alien life, alien invasions of earth and other test runs about one hundred-forty-five years ago. There were earlier stories of outer space and the wonders of the solar system–as described by very imaginative writers. Some of these stories date back almost four hundred years. More than a few had occult roots, figures and themes running through them.
ALL set the stage for the modern world fascination and steady supply of stories about outer space.
In the time in which we now live, the National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) is the prime storyteller about all things space-related.
Why are so many stories being concocted about outer space and threats from outer space?
Those who control the world are clearly concerned about a threat from above. BUT that threat does NOT have anything to do with aliens.
With the end times upon us, the reader can be sure he will hear many more entertaining stories about asteroids, space junk and/or outer space in the months ahead.

“How can the reader know when the Corporate Media is lying to him (never mind the fact that the media is Satan’s Mouthpiece and Satan is the father of lies)? One easy way to tell is the use of “Why” and “How” in the headlines of an article. When the reader sees “Why?” or “How?” in the headline–occasionally “What” is used–that which follows will be a fairy tale, a narrative, a bedtime story spun by the media for the benefit of the media’s master. “Why” usually denotes an on-going narrative; “How” signifies a story line which explains past events. Not all narratives begin with “How” or “Why.” However, the most in-your-face, over-the-top ones usually do. ALL political “news” is narrative.

There have always been hucksters selling false hope to desperate people. It’s an American tradition. But Oz is different precisely because he is so smart, well trained, and influential. How are we to react, then, when he offers his show as a platform for Theresa Caputo, a medium who says she can link us with the dead, or Jeffrey Smith, a former yoga instructor whom Oz considers an expert on genetically modified products?
Yet there are those who swear by Dr Oz and insist any criticism is a raw deal for the supposedly-courageous Doc Oz.

“For Christ sent me not to baptize, but to preach the gospel: not with wisdom of words, lest the cross of Christ should be made of none effect.”
–1Corinthians 1:17
Someone (who was advocating that baptism is a necessary component of salvation through Jesus Christ) offered as “proof” what Jesus said in the opening verses of John 3, specifically John 3:5.
“There was a man of the Pharisees, named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews: The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know that thou art a teacher come from God: for no man can do these miracles that thou doest, except God be with him. Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.
“Nicodemus saith unto him, How can a man be born when he is old? can he enter the second time into his mother’s womb, and be born? Jesus answered, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of the flesh is flesh; and that which is born of the Spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I said unto thee, Ye must be born again.”
–John 3:1-7
“Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born of water and of the Spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God.”
John 3:5 is most definitely NOT about baptism.
We can know this in several different ways.
1- Nowhere in John 3 do either Jesus or Nicodemus refer to the subject of baptism.
2- Jesus is explaining to Nicodemus about being born again. Clearly, Nicodemus did not understand the concept. Jesus tells him a man has to be born both PHYSICALLY and then born a second time SPIRITUALLY. Jesus talks of being born of water (physical birth) and of the Spirit (spiritual rebirth). To emphasize the point, Jesus uses the water/Spirit reference and then, in order that there is NO confusion, Jesus offers the flesh/spirit reference as well.
Born again means to experience a spiritual rebirth through Jesus Christ, God the Father and the Holy Spirit.
Born again.
OR, as it is elsewhere referred to: a “transformation” OR to be “transformed.”
“And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.”
–Romans 12:2
Born again.
It is what distinguishes believers from pretenders.
Being born again spiritually is what determines if one is a member of the kingdom of heaven. NOT how often, if or where one has been baptized–though baptism IS a necessary sign of the believer’s obedience.
Being reborn spiritually–NOT sitting in one of the Sunday social clubs known as the churches; NOT trying to make this world a better place; NOT constantly talking about homosexuals, atheists or satanists–is what determines whether one is a believer on Jesus Christ.
HAS the reader experience the transformation of a new spiritual birth through the Holy Spirit and Jesus Christ?
OR does the reader choose to believe that that is so much nonsense?
It is not YET too late: there is still time to change direction (repent), place your faith for the future entirely on Jesus Christ and enter the kingdom of heaven.

Commemorations, celebrations, birthdays, anniversaries, milestones, memorials: most humans organize their lives around a variety of dates which signify important points in their lives.
When a person is born again, he becomes a new creature.
A completely new creature.
“Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.”–2 Corinthians 5:17
This becoming a new creature is something quite real. The things of this world fade in importance as this world’s place in the believer’s scheme of things becomes clear: this world is only a probationary period; a time to determine where a person will spend eternity.
As the things of this world fade in importance, so do the dates one previously considered important while he was in the world.
One day in particular which no longer should have much significance is the birthday. The Bible mentions two birthdays: Herod (at which it was decided to behead John the Baptist) and Pharaoh.
Birthdays are VERY important to those who are of the world. Birthdays are a day of celebration for those who have been born once.
“Jesus answered and said unto him, Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God.”
—John 3:3
Birthdays are still very important in the apostate churches. And when it is pointed out that the Bible has nothing good to say about birthdays, those in the churches are quick to respond. Which makes sense: a birthday is no great thing to one who have been born again.
Birthdays form the basis for horoscopes (strictly forbidden to believers). Once more: Birthdays mark the natural birth, which is of no consequence once a person has been born again. The world (not the Bible) places great emphasis on one’s natural birthday.
Time passes and occasionally the true Christian is reminded of another date (which was marked and celebrated once upon a time) which has passed without notice. Sometimes, that date unnoticed is one’s birthday.
And one suspects that’s one more way to tell the wheat from the tares.
“And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new.”
–Revelation 21:5
Some have maintained that the curious case of Ronald Opus is a true one. Others have said that the story has been debunked; that this case is nothing more than an urban legend.
In the end, it matters little. The open-minded reader should examine the particulars of the case and see if he doesn’t agree with that assessment.
There are a few questions at the end.
The Curious Case of Ronald Opus
On March 23, 1994, a medical examiner viewed the body of Ronald Opus and concluded that he died from a gunshot wound of the head caused by a shotgun. Investigation to that point had revealed that the decedent had jumped from the top of a ten-story building with the intent to commit suicide. (He left a note indicating his despondency.) As he passed the 9th floor on the way down, his life was interrupted by a shotgun blast through a window, killing him instantly. Neither the shooter nor the decedent was aware that a safety net had been erected at the 8th floor level to protect some window washers, and that the decedent would most likely not have been able to complete his intent to commit suicide because of this.
Ordinarily, a person who starts into motion the events with a suicide intent ultimately commits suicide even though the mechanism might be not what he intended. That he was shot on the way to certain death nine stories below probably would not change his mode of death from suicide to homicide, but the fact that his suicide intent would not have been achieved under any circumstance caused the medical examiner to feel that he had homicide on his hands.
Further investigation led to the discovery that the room on the 9th floor from whence the shotgun blast emanated was occupied by an elderly man and his wife. He was threatening her with the shotgun because of an interspousal spat and became so upset that he could not hold the shotgun straight. Therefore, when he pulled the trigger, he completely missed his wife, and the pellets went through the window, striking the decedent.
When one intends to kill subject A but kills subject B in the attempt, one is guilty of the murder of subject B. The old man was confronted with this conclusion, but both he and his wife were adamant in stating that neither knew that the shotgun was loaded. It was the longtime habit of the old man to threaten his wife with an unloaded shotgun. He had no intent to murder her; therefore, the killing of the decedent appeared then to be accident. That is, the gun had been accidentally loaded.
But further investigation turned up a witness that their son was seen loading the shotgun approximately six weeks prior to the fatal accident. That investigation showed that the mother (the old lady) had cut off her son’s financial support, and her son, knowing the propensity of his father to use the shotgun threateningly, loaded the gun with the expectation that the father would shoot his mother. The case now becomes one of murder on the part of the son for the death of Ronald Opus.
Now comes the exquisite twist. Further investigation revealed that the son, one Ronald Opus, had become increasingly despondent over the failure of his attempt to get his mother murdered. This led him to jump off the ten-story building on March 23, only to be killed by a shotgun blast through a 9th story window.
The medical examiner closed the case as a suicide.
QUESTIONS
The main question this writer is prompted to ask: Where will Ronald Opus wake up: in heaven or hell?
“And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment:”
–Hebrews 9:27
Committing suicide breaks the sixth law of God: thou shalt not kill (or murder) –this includes the taking of one’s own life.
“Thou shalt not kill.”
–Exodus 20:13
Poor Ronald! He is not only dead: he broke the sixth commandment in the process!
If only he had known Jesus Christ as his personal Lord and Saviour, he would not have placed himself in that unfortunate situation. Ronald would have known “the peace that passeth all understanding.”
“And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.”
IF he had been saved from the stranglehold of sin, Ronald Opus, at the end of his days, would have been bound for glory: secure in the peace that comes from knowing that an eternity with his Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ awaited him.

Not saved?
The gospel of Christ has the power to save!
“For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek.”
—Romans 1:16
THE GOSPEL
“Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand; By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain. For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures; And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:”
