Recently, someone made the remark “If only people had perfect information, they would never make bad decisions.”
Really?
This brought to mind several thoughts.
1- The statement is false.
2- Sin obeys no laws concerning information.
3- Deception has nothing to do with logic, evidence, improved communication or conversation, education, intelligence OR a desire to have “perfect information.”
Deception is a SPIRITUAL, not a lack-of-information, condition.
Most make “bad decisions” because of the shininess of sin and/or deception, not a lack of information.
4- Another thought came when it was recalled that, over the years, many, many, many, MANY buckets of money supposedly dedicated to “education” have been flushed down the drain.
This is NOT related to schooling, the education lobby or public education. This has to do with the many instances of political critters calling for money for “more education” as a solution to spiritual problems.
After every episode of drug-related violence, some politician would be on TV calling for more money for education AS IF education was the solution to the problem.
As someone once said “Is there ANYONE in America who does not know illegal drugs are bad for you?”
A number of situations demonstrate that education (or “perfect knowledge“) has almost nothing to do with a person’s decisions or behavior.
- smoking
- many recreational drugs
- Alcoholic beverages
No matter how much people know about the three examples given, there will always be those who die from heavy use or abuse of these substances–in some cases, even on their deathbed. Sometimes, a person will even admit, “This is killing me. I have to quit.”
But they continue on in the behavior though they have enough information to make the right choice.
One other example is the guy or girl who is involved romantically with someone who treats them shabbily–and they KNOW the person is no good.
“He (or she) is like a poison.”
“Yeah, they’re bad, but I can’t quit ’em.”
“What can I do? My head says to leave, but my heart says to stay.”
Again, many of these poor souls have enough information to make a good decision, but they lack other spiritual assets to follow through on that knowledge.
“If only people had perfect information, they would never make bad decisions.”
Finally, a fourth thought was prompted by that statement.
5- It’s likely perfect information would only affect decisions IF perfect people were involved.

BURNING MAN: CARTOON PAGANISM
The Burning Man festival is held each year in the desert in Nevada.
While not specifically emphasized, this pagan “art” festival puts the focus on man and the doings of man.
This festival is heavily publicized each year in August (and September until Labor Day) by the Corporate Media.
Many readers get their understanding of pagans by reading the descriptions and looking at the pictures of the festival.
But those readers do not see pagans.
What they see is a public presentation of pagans.
“Hedonistic hippies” was one remark concerning those attending Burning Man.
IF the media was more accurate, the pagans on display at Burning Man would look a lot like neighbors, friends and others in many communities across the country. They would look a lot like many of those who congregate in the buildings we call “churches.”
This hidden pagan structure of the country will become more and more evident the closer we come to the climax of human history.
Then, the masses will get to see more than the cartoon paganism on display at Burning Man.

Dictionary.com quickly stepped into the drama to provide a helpful definition of the word. “Payola: A secret or private payment in return for the promotion of a product, service, etc., through the abuse of one’s position, influence, or facilities,” they tweeted.

STUMBLINGBLOCK TO SALVATION
stumblingblock: An obstacle; a difficulty.
“Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.”

Even if few are saved, more than few seem to have at least a passing interest in eternal salvation.
IN FACT, most who have expressed an interest (or a misplaced insistence) in eternal salvation through Jesus Christ have to overcome a HUGE stumblingblock.
That stumblingblock is an inability or unwillingness (or both) to let go of the things of the world.
“Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”
–1John 2:15-16
To be perfectly clear: “things of the world” do not necessarily refer to ONLY material goods.
Letting go of the things of the world DOES refer to the love of material things.
But, it also refers to the ways of the world; the knowledge of the world; what the world considers important or holds dear; traditions, rituals and fables learned (and in some cases, loved) since childhood; the honors, exaltation and attention the world bestows upon its favorites.
Letting go of these things and basing one’s faith in the future on the Word of God and Jesus Christ is no doubt the biggest decision ANY person has to make.
But letting go of the things of the world is extremely hard–maybe even next to impossible.
Perhaps this is why so many wait until the last second to declare they want salvation: they cling to the pleasures and comfortable things of the world until such things are no longer available to them?

Letting go of the things of the world might even be considered a stumblingblock to salvation.

“How can the reader know when the Corporate Media is lying to him (never mind the fact that the media is Satan’s Mouthpiece and Satan is the father of lies)? One easy way to tell is the use of “Why” and “How” in the headlines of an article. When the reader sees “Why?” or “How?” in the headline–occasionally “What” is used–that which follows will be a fairy tale, a narrative, a bedtime story spun by the media for the benefit of the media’s master. “Why” usually denotes an on-going narrative; “How” signifies a story line which explains past events. Not all narratives begin with “How” or “Why.” However, the most in-your-face, over-the-top ones usually do. ALL political “news” is narrative.
