THE METHODS OF THE WORLD
QUESTIONS FOR ATHEISTS – There are times that Christians (church-goers) shoot themselves in their foot–though they have the best of intentions.
A website that proposes to settle questions about Christianity based on evidence, proof and logic presents the linked article.
The premise sounds reasonable: atheists are usually asking Christians questions (which is not a bad thing actually), so why not “turn the tables” and ask the atheists a few questions?
However, while this sounds good, there are several things wrong with this approach, which is not very biblical.
1- This appeals to the Christians’ ‘pride of life’ and moves the focus off of Jesus Christ.
“For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world.”

Do we want to win souls or do we want to win debate points? These discussions are not winnable using the world’s methods. The Christian is to win souls–not debates.
“The fruit of the righteous is a tree of life; and he that winneth souls is wise.”

The gospel is the tool that God uses–not rhetoric or logic or evidence or proof. Specifically, the preaching of the gospel.
“For after that in the wisdom of God the world by wisdom knew not God, it pleased God by the foolishness of preaching to save them that believe.”

Sure, Christians are human: they chafe at the world’s labels of “uneducated,” “illiterate” and “idiots.” (The linked articles’ words, not this writer’s.) But is engaging the unbeliever on his own turf the answer? Is appealing to the atheists’ reason the way Christians are supposed to approach unbelievers?
Will a debate over evidence and proof win one soul to Christ?
The Bible says it won’t.
“Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time. Let your speech be always with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.”

We’re to walk in wisdom and focus on the cross of Christ. When Christians lose focus of the true issue, they exchange their most powerful weapon for the tools of the enemy.
Those who profess to be Christians seem to be doing a lot of this lately: fighting by the world’s rules of engagement.
2- The questions presented in this article are a good example of trying to fight the enemy on his terms. They sound good–but will likely prove ineffective at winning the souls of atheists. If the author had visited websites frequented by atheists, he would already know that atheists engage most of the questions presented in this article.
Atheists already have answers to most of the questions presented. Sure, as Christians we believe that their answers are wrong, but atheists don’t.
So then we’re back to square one again.
And Christians should keep one important point in mind: it is God who offers salvation as a free gift, not us. We merely are the presenters, nothing more. Contrary to much of what’s being taught, being more “persuasive” has nothing to do with whether an unbeliever truly experiences a a new birth or not.
3- Some of the questions don’t even sound good to the Christian.
“How can the Second Law of Thermodynamics be reconciled with progressive, naturalistic evolutionary theory?”
Is this the way to win souls? Quick: all readers who can recite the Second Law of Thermodynamics, raise your hands.
“How do you explain the thousands of people who have experienced heaven or hell and have come back to tell us about it?”
Though “dying” or “being sent back from the dead” to testify of heaven or hell is a fairly common phenomena in our own times, it is not biblical.
“Then he said, I pray thee therefore, father, that thou wouldest send him to my father’s house: For I have five brethren; that he may testify unto them, lest they also come into this place of torment. Abraham saith unto him, They have Moses and the prophets; let them hear them.
And he said, Nay, father Abraham: but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.”

It’s very human to want to win an argument. However, nowhere in the Bible is winning arguments mentioned as a method of soul winning.
Yes, we’re to “earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered” (Jude 3)–but that is among believers, not unbelievers (who are not part of the “common salvation” to which Jude refers).
Yes, “Christian apologetics” is speaking in defense of Christianity. But much of Christian apologetics is practically concerned with the issues raised by false teachers and those who are supposed to be Christians. False teachers was the theme of Jude.
For Christians who believe we are living in the end times, we’re given the formula to be “overcomers.”
“And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death.”

Preach the gospel and let the atheists win their debate points.
At the end of the day, Christians will be happy they did.

One may spend HOURS seriously contemplating the two verses in Isaiah 55 (8 and 9) and STILL not be able to ‘wrap one’s head around‘ what they are saying.
Basically, the two verses are telling man “Hey! You cannot even understand the things I consider. But, that’s okay: you do not have to.”
The PROBLEMS begin whenever man BELIEVES he can understand the thoughts and ways of his Creator.
Man cannot EVEN begin to understand.
Those few who come to the realization that they are not equipped to understand the considerations of God achieve a peace within themselves and with all that surrounds them.
The others?
They grapple and struggle with ideas which are “above their pay grade,” but which they refuse to acknowledge are beyond their capabilities to comprehend.
The basic problem is that man attempts to understand the infinite possessing finite faculties.
This is the ultimate case of squaring the circle: man is NOT equipped to understand certain things, BUT worldly men
refuse to accept their limitations.

Whenever man has delusions of grandeur and believes himself the equal of his Creator, man most usually creates more problems than he initially tackled.
This behavior has been demonstrated throughout history, but during the end times, these actions increase because man’s disbelief increases.

To boil it all down: man is NOT God.
BUT, to the deceived, man IS God.
If they knew otherwise, they would NOT be deceived.

IN FACT, the rich and celebrated almost never disagree: they engage in feuds–sometimes for decades after they have ceased being celebrated for anything else.
What would the beautiful people do with themselves if not for their never-ending feuds?
Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media) has always had a problem: what to do when too many of the rich and celebrated have NOTHING “newsworthy” to do. When the media gets tired of reporting what the rich and celebrated are wearing, they turn to the tried-and-true method of of fake “feuds” to generate cheap, plastic “news.”
One popular singer’s entire marketing campaign over the years seems to have been based on engaging in one “feud” after another. But, as the “victims” appear to be primarily the singer’s “fans,” it’s hard to get too worked up over the ruse.
Sports, politics and celebrity culture, European royalty–wherever the rich and celebrated congregate: these are the arenas where readers can most often find stories of “feuds.”
Oh–and pro wrestling…
One can depend on those who labor for the mystery of iniquity to act, in not only an EVIL manner, but also in a very repetitive one as well.
Case in point: when two followers of Satan are working together, one of the first things they do is establish that they 1-do not like each other; 2- they hate each other; or, 3- are fighting against one another.
Democrats and Republicans, Russia and the USA, members of the same family who toil together for evil ends, famous celebrities who are “feuding” with each other: it happens so often, one occasionally has to wonder, “Does Satan have a university or school where he teaches his followers these tricks?”

When the reader sees “Why?” or “How?” in the headline–occasionally “What” is used–that which follows will be a fairy tale, a narrative, a bedtime story spun by the media for the benefit of the media’s master. “Why” usually denotes an on-going narrative; “How” signifies a story line which explains past events. These are the same bozos who pleaded for decades with Americans to give up eating EGGS because they swore they were bad.
These are many of the same outfits who didn’t see anything wrong with cigarettes for decades while Americans smoked themselves to death.

Every day, day-after-day, the “health and medical media” turns out dozens (hundreds?) of these types of articles.
Many of the studies, research and experts (think “coffee“) contradict what was printed the day before.
Meanwhile, the USA is by far the sickest industrialized country in the world.
Americans are ingesting a chemical stew every time they open a can or box of ANY foodstuff.
The government agencies supposedly responsible for safe food ALWAYS find there’s not enough poison in the food to do anything until YEARS later. Chemicals banned in most countries (some are used as flame retardants) find their way into the Average Joe’s daily diet.
And the amount of drugs/medicines handed out to “correct” various illnesses just keeps going up-up-UP!
America is one coast-to-coast toxic dump–and that’s just the grocery and drug stores.
Americans will take one medicine to lower their heart rate while AT THE SAME TIME having a doctor adjust their pacemaker to increase it.
And the “health media” and “natural food media” does its job every day: distracting folks from what’s really killing them by churning out fantasies on the latest snake oil.

THE MEDIA LEGEND OF BEN CARSON
North Carolina poll: Ben Carson leads GOP field with 19%, leads Biden by four head to head – The country is in the time of the election cycle when the Corporate Media writes up long-shots as though they actually had a chance. There are several reasons for this. Let’s look at one: it feeds the myth that anyone can be president of the USA–even though the men who have been president have come from a particular line of people.
Actually, it’s more accurate to say “from a particular bloodlines of people.”
Every one of them.

A CLUE FOR MEDIA WATCHERS
A clue for those who watch Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media).
Snopes.com’s dishonest attempt at debunking ‘Obama and the Muslim Gang Sign’ – Here’s how this works.
- Obama flashes a “Muslim hand sign.” (Only one of many hand signs this president has publicly flashed during the last six years.)
- Snopes.com pens a dishonest article which “debunks” the hand sign – Supposedly Snopes.com is this impartial website which lays rumors and “urban legends” to rest. It is nothing of the sort. Snopes.com was constructed to provide backing for the many Corporate Media narratives which are floated. Because some of Snopes’ articles are SO blatantly false (such as the one in question), many readers can immediately see their “debunking” and/or “fact-checking” for what it is: self-serving attempts at supporting lies.
- A third party in the Corporate Media (or, in this case, the Corporate Alternative Media) points out the obvious shenanigans. Readers then make the connection in their minds: ”Oh, Obama is really an undercover Muslim operative, he was caught and Snopes.com obviously tried to cover for him. But he’s been found out and I am smart enough to see this!“
This brings up an important point about when the Corporate Media is reinforcing a lie.
MANY TIMES, THE CORPORATE MEDIA WILL FLATTER THE READER INTO THINKING
“I’M SMARTER THAN THE OTHERS.“
So, to recap: when the Corporate Media is flattering the reader, look around for the lie they are attempting to sell.
