CHRISTMAS 2020: SEVEN OBSERVATIONS

A few thoughts on Christmas, Christmas 2020, as well as this and that in the hours leading up to Christmas 2020.

1-  This worldly holiday we call “Christmas” has been built on a SOLID foundation of paganism.  One is reminded of just how much the Christmas we celebrate owes to pagans while scanning photos, trying to find one which was appropriate for a piece titled “Christmas 2020.” There were photos GALORE of Christmas trees (a pagan tradition), Yule logs (another pagan tradition), wrapped gifts under a Christmas tree (ANOTHER pagan tradition) and/or folks singing Christmas carols (yet another pagan tradition.

2- After DECADES of playing coy, the media has finally (the past few years) joyfully begun to write about the many pagan traditions Americans observe at Christmas.  Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media) certainly wants Americans to KNOW the Christmas traditions they have come to know and love are PAGAN IN ORIGIN.

Most of the Christmas traditions celebrated around this time of year may be pagan in nature, but that doesn’t mean that NEW TRADITIONS can’t be established.

The latest “new traditions“?

Limiting one’s gift giving to a specific number of gifts seems to be something HIGHLY promoted by the media over the past several years.

3- It is supposed that the BIGGEST single difference between Christmas 2020 and previous Christmases is the coronavirus–and all of the various changes brought about in the name of “keeping everyone safe.”

From trying to belt out a hearty “Ho ho ho” through a required mask to observing social distancing in the checkout lines, the virus has certainly left its mark on Christmas 2020.

4- Americans may be currently indoctrinated on how their lives are falling apart, but Americans are STILL very well off economically, compared to the rest of the world.

One way the reader can know this is true is by HOW MANY folks are proclaimed to be “hard to buy for” (finding them a gift).  The reason most often given for such difficulty?

“What do you get a person who has EVERYTHING?”

“They don’t need ANYTHING!”

“They told me they appreciate ANYTHING; they can’t think of something they really want.”

5- Because the Christmas season involves SO MUCH gift giving (and planning for such a massive undertaking), so many approach such a season with, what could be called, a “battle plan.”

Because of such a circumstance, the primary emotion felt on Christmas Day is not JOY or EXCITEMENT.

It is RELIEF: relief that everyone on one’s gift list received their appointed present; relief that the entire holiday is over for another year.

6- The time most people seem to take for a little relaxation (and the quiet contemplation which comes from being able to afford such a time) is Christmas Eve.

The night before Christmas–the calm before the storm, so to speak, of Christmas Day–appears to be a time when many folks reflect on the past year, on their many blessings (though, increasingly, folks do not think of their blessings as “blessings“) or on the luxury of having time to reflect on ANYTHING.

Some folks maintain that Christmas 2020 will be remembered because of the many coronavirus changes.

Other folks claim that Christmas 2020 will be remembered because it was the FIRST to feature coronavirus.

And a very few believe that coronavirus could be only the beginning of much worse things yet to come.

MUCH could be written about the coronavirus and its resulting effects on the USA.  MUCH has already been written, most of it by Satan’s Mouthpiece.

So, since this is Christmas, we will leave it at that.

7- ALL THAT being said, as has been pointed out before, Christmas–for all of it pagan trappings–is STILL the only day of the year when the world gives Jesus a little lip service.

At least then, for those few moments, folks may have concentrated on Jesus Christ and the claimed season which supposedly honored the Son of God.

Even though Christmas was supposedly a time of focusing on Jesus Christ, it became anything but that.

BUT AT LEAST it was a day that the world PRETENDED to focus on Jesus Christ.

However, for a few moments each season–which ran about six-eight weeks–the odd person MAY have put aside the pagan celebrations and quietly reflected on Jesus Christ.

Maybe.

Everyone LOVES to hear and see DRAMA, right?

And really: what is more exciting than manufactured drama?

And what is more dramatic than an apparent feud among the beautiful people, right?

Particularly if the “feud” is between celebrities, politicos or royal nabobs?

IN FACT, the rich and celebrated almost never disagree: they engage in feuds–sometimes for decades after they have ceased being celebrated for anything else.

What would the beautiful people do with themselves if not for their never-ending feuds?

Satan’s Mouthpiece (the Corporate Media) has always had a problem: what to do when too many of the rich and celebrated have NOTHING “newsworthy” to do. When the media gets tired of reporting what the rich and celebrated are wearing, they turn to the tried-and-true method of of fake “feuds” to generate cheap, plastic “news.”

One popular singer’s entire marketing campaign over the years seems to have been based on engaging in one “feud” after another. But, as the “victims” appear to be primarily the singer’s “fans,” it’s hard to get too worked up over the ruse.

Sports, politics and celebrity culture, European royalty–wherever the rich and celebrated congregate: these are the arenas where readers can most often find stories of “feuds.”

Oh–and pro wrestling…

One can depend on those who labor for the mystery of iniquity to act, in not only an EVIL manner, but also in a very repetitive one as well.

Case in point: when two followers of Satan are working together, one of the first things they do is establish that they 1-do not like each other; 2- they hate each other; or, 3- are fighting against one another.

Democrats and Republicans, Russia and the USA, members of the same family who toil together for evil ends, famous celebrities who are “feuding” with each other: it happens so often, one occasionally has to wonder, “Does Satan have a university or school where he teaches his followers these tricks?”

With its pagan traditions, rituals, symbols and practices, Christmas serves as a graphic reminder of the true orientation of the United States of America.

But it matters not the whole countryside is pagan.

CHRISTMAS: PREPARATIONS & OBSERVATIONS

Christmas preparations: shopping

While visiting a local “big box” store on the day before Christmas, several thoughts were entertained.

Perhaps the reader will now be entertained as well?

THOUGHT #1

A great many speak of preparing or “getting ready” for Christmas.

This “preparation” mostly consists of three facets:

–DECORATING (both indoors and outdoors);

–BAKING (for family, for holiday visitors and for any who hunger for a Christmas snack).

Christmas cookies are popular.

In fact, cookies are so popular around Christmastime, services have sprung up which provide cookies (for a price) for those too busy to bake them.

GIFT PROCUREMENT/WRAPPING seems to take the most time of the three.

In fact, when MOST speak of preparations for Christmas, they mean SHOPPING for gifts.  This is also true of being asked, “Are you all ready for Christmas?”

This USUALLY is another way of asking, “Do you have all of your shopping done?  Have you found all of your presents and wrapped them?”
